I did that initially, but realized G—Sync stopped working as it needs MSFS and desktop resolution to be the same. Thanks for the advice though, I’ll look into it further!

So, do I put my monitor res back to native 3840x2160? I currently have my upscaled res 5760x3240 from my DLDSR 2.25 set as my monitors res.

Since you’ve got a very decent GPU, I’d look into upscaling the resolution using DLDSR+DLSS ultra quality. I wrote a guide on this a week ago or so. Also, I’d recommend locking fps using riva tuner li

EDIT2: More testing: I can pan around like a mad-man with fps locked with hardly any FTV. Same with fps unlocked, no change. Granted, I'm at FL340. I expect this would chance once I get closer to Honolulu.

That's what Island recommends. I've yet to try it though. Let me know if 5760x3240 looks better with monitor res back to native 3840x2160

I honestly can't really notice a difference going back to my native res. Both resolutions are extremely nice. HOWEVER the only thing I don't like with the sim being 5760x3240 and my monitor native (3840x2160) is that the MSFS Dev mode options at the top are not properly scaled and you cannot click on anything.

It's obvious to me, RTSS works sometimes and not, running sim unlocked gives the best performance overall, no doubt about it, apparently the settings are very hardware dependent, but for my pc is unlocked with G-Sync on both full screen and window + low latency on ultra superior to all settings I've tried, there's no need to tweak any more, everything works optimally for me, I'll will finish my tweaking now and enjoy flightsim Nirvana 😄

Same, can't see any difference. Besides G-sync not working if resolutions are different. I do get proper scaling in dev mode though. Not sure how. Could be cause of Win11 scaling (display options)

Hmm, my win 11 recommended scale (default) is 150% and I use 125% so that might be it?

I've got it set to 300% 🙂 That's with 5461x2880 in both desktop and MSFS

When I had both my MSFS and desktop the same 5760x3240 res the scaling wasn't an issue in MSFS, but native desktop res and 5760x3240 MSFS mismatch is causing an issue somewhere

Yeah if the resolutions are not the same, dev mode will be a bit messed up. I've struggled with this a few times, trying to aim the mouse pointer at something.

yup so that is the only difference between the two resolutions that I've noticed.

That and the fact that G-sync won't work 🙂

I don't get screen tearing with the two different res's, I just turn v-sync on in NVCP and its great, how can I see if my G-sync is working?

Not working = visible screen tearing, especially with fast panning. To be extra sure, it might be possible to bring ip an overlay on your monitor. I've got that feature on my OLED, but it took some time to find.

Ok thanks for clarification, then my G-sync is working no problem with the two different res's. No screen tearing here at all
