I’m also a graphics quality aficionado, and find that upscaling the resolution using DLDSR then adding DLSS in ultra quality gives an even better image quality than TAA in 4K. Really? But what about the blurry displays in the cockpit? March 6, 20242 yr Wow, and you get better performance than TAA and it looks sharper? Can you please share your settings on exactly what I need to do? I've never DLSDR+DLSS before. Would love to give it a try and see how it will look on my 55" 4K Samsung TV. I honestly think DLSS upscaled to "5K" looks better. AND - performance is much worse using TAA - around 60 fps vs 80+ fps using DLDSR+DLSS. I'll post some average values comparing the two in a moment. 38 minutes ago, captain420 said: Can you please share your settings on exactly what I need to do? I've never DLSDR+DLSS before. Since most people are interested in cockpit displays however, here's a comparison: 4K TAA RS 160 5K DLSS DLDSR Edited March 6, 20242 yr by Cpt_Piett 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5

Never knew that If you have a 4000 series GPU you don't need/want the FG mod. You can run FG "natively" or you know what I mean. I think he has a 3090 card, that's why he's running the FG mod. March 6, 20242 yr Author Thank you all for your very helpful and informative feedback regarding this topic. I have certainly learnt a lot from this forum thread. I will try some of your suggestions on my recently upgraded system and also reply soon to the question raised earlier re: difference in fps I have noticed between my old 2080 8gb i7-8700k system and recently upgraded 4070 super 12gb Ryzen 7 7800 X3D system.
March 6, 20242 yr I tried something new today, my monitor has three factory settings for refresh rate, 60 -100 and 144hz, so I first tried turn the refresh rate down from 144hz to 100hz and saw that my GPU load was 20% lower with the same performance as before, and at a couple degrees cooler as well which was very promising, so I will keep my monitor at 100hz and put the 20% gain on more Rendering Scale instead. I tried 60hz as well, but then I began to see some degradations, native 30fps is not enough to achieve the smoothness I prefer with or without FG in my opinion. I run my TV @100Hz for the exact same reason you mentioned, if I keep fps unlocked and with a 120Hz refresh rate my GPU will be pegged at 100% pretty much all the time which is completely unnecessary Try locking the fps to 80 using RTSS + front edge sync, the smoothness is still stellar and there will even more GPU headroom. I am running this way with my render scale at 110 and it is a superb experience.
