Dash 7 Update v 1.62 released

Hello Captains!

Those of you who found out, the subject line of my last update email was
mistyped, will be happy to see, this time it is correct. ;-D

We again have released an update mainly focusing on the flight model.

We have tackled the last issue causing main discussions. The aircraft now
slows down as it is supposed to for flaps extension.

We have tested it against all, well most, values published in the POH.

However, a reminder. It also needs to be flown according to POH.

Please note that the proper procedures for operating the Dash 7 in different
phases of flight call for the following:

1210 RPM - Take-Off | Landing (on final)
1070 RPM - Climb | Cruise | Descent
900 RPM - Cruise | Descent

You should be using the condition lever accordingly to adjust the RPM to
your actual phase of flight. Use the throttle to keep T5 in the green.

There you go.

Change Log:

This update brings it to v1.62 and it contains the following changes and
improvements:

- All Models -
Flight model and engine performance adjustments to improve aircraft
handling during climb, cruise and descent.
Revised flaps for improved handling during approach.
Fixed flap animation bug.

To obtain this update, log into your account at our website. Go to MY
DOWNLOADS and select the Dash 7 in the drop down menu. Then click
SHOW DOWNLOADS.

Would love to hear some views on what this latest version is actually like.

I bought the Dash 7 on release last year and it was so universally poor across the board, that I deleted it after one flight.

I'm not sure if a couple of updates could have rescued it, but I would love to be wrong!

I was just wondering if there would be any feedback from someone more motivated than I, for this plane!  In no-one chooses to share any views, that's absolutely fine.

I always have issues logging into the Pilot's website.  I have to reset my password every time.  It's one of those FS websites that I log into once every 8 years 😄

I too share those same challenges with Pilots antiquated and awkward site!  That said, IMO the latest version has evolved quite nicely and can be used well to simulate four engine turboprop air flight…if your into that sort of thing😎

I tried this after the last update.  Sorry but what an utterly awful plane.  The sounds, the model, the textures, the props were misbehaving.   Just a true car crash of an aircraft model IMO.   I would never touch anything again - other than scenery - from PILOTS.
