Fenix AP disconnect is still not fixed

Featured Replies

I just did an experiment - just took off in the Fenix from EGNM where it's pretty windy IRL.  Went into assistance settings and changed the turbulance to MEDIUM.    Guess what?    2 mins into the climb I had an AP disconnect.....

I would bet that BWBriscoe has turbulence (in the assistance settings) set to something other than LOW.

My first ever flight with the Fenix B2, I got an AP disconnect.  I then read the advice to set turbulance to LOW, because of MSFS's eratic turbulance depiction.    Set it to low and never got a disconnect again.

Would this make products like RealTurb incompatible with the Fenix?

Hi,

I use RealTurb with Block 2 of the Fenix with Turbulance setting at low and never had a AP Disconnect, works great IMO.

Thanks

Well then the Fenix tolerance of wind shifts needs to reflect the platform it's decided to put itself on...

I have Turbulence in MSFS set to medium, no issues with FENIX AP.
