Key West NAS scenery

Featured Replies

Has anyone tried the new Key West NAS scenery from SkyDesigners?

I was wondering if there is any conflict with ORBX KEYW.

Here's the problem.  Many of us have FSDT's Key West that has NAS Key West including. Looking at SD's version I would much prefer that version but then I'd loose a great rendition of KEYW.😳🤪

Thanks for the heads up by the way...👍

You can rename the Simultech-KNQX files in the FSDT scenery to .OFF and that will disable the FSDT NAS Key West and allow you to use both.  You just have to remember to do that again anytime you update FSDT airports because it will change it back to .BGL

I have this scenery and think it is very well done.  The addition of NASKW and the USCG cutters are new in this version and a welcome update.  This scenery depicts the airfield from a somewhat earlier period, as it has the new tower and does not have the shelter structures on the flight line, but this does not bother me as the old tower is an iconic building for the base.

It is nice to be able to fly an F-35 out of here then rendezvous with a moving carrier a few miles north of Key West with super carrier pro.

And forgot to mention, but no conflicts at all for the ORBX Key West airport.

Not to mention squadron formation flying out to the boat using 'Airshow Assistant'. 🍺

I would expect we will be getting a new key west sometime next year or so with the brand new airline terminal under construction
