The airport said in a statement, "Today there was a horrible incident where a person ended up in an airplane engine. Our thoughts go out to the relatives and we care for the passengers and colleagues who witnessed this. The Royal Military Police is currently conducting an investigation." I've been there often on those KLM city hopper flights and its usually very well taped off around the engines with handlers standing around. Terrible thing to happen and witness. "Research has shown that he deliberately climbed into the engine," said the military police. The incident occurred at the pier, with the plane about to leave for the Danish airport at Billund.
