I flew from a regional airport to SFO yesterday and for the most part it handled the trip properly, including giving clearance (including expiration time) before telling me to switch frequency for a UNICOM takeoff. June 23, 20241 yr I’m having mostly successful flights now with BATC. My biggest gripe is that it forces you to fly very long STAR approaches that in real life are designed for spacing, such as those you see commonly in Germany and other places. Traffic is usually vectored off thèse downwind legs at some point to final but usually BATC will leave you trundling around the whole thing and then the transition before intercepting the LOC. Somewhere like Frankfurt this can be almost 100 track miles… Still, it works well and the voices are great. One of my all time favourite FS purchases!
