Anyone Use PF3

Featured Replies

Anyone use or have opinions about PF3?
Anything I should know?

Hi, yes, I use it. Anything particular you're interested in?

Best regards, Dimitrios

I have used it in the past, and it definitely has it's good  points.  However, I prefer Radar Contact v4.3 (which is now free, by the way) as it seems to provide a bit more immersion for my tastes.  RC4 is a bit easier to set up and personalize to your liking, imho.

My specs:  AMD Ryzen 5 5600X @ 3.7 GHz, 32 GB 3200MHz DDR4, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 12 GB, 2TB SAMSUNG EVO Plus SSD M2, 2TB WD Black Gaming SSD M2, 8TB WD Black Gaming HDD, 4TB WD Black Gaming Ext HDD, Windows 10, X-Plane 12 + large quantity of 3rd party addons scenery & aircraft. Honeycomb Alpha & Bravo, Thrustmaster TFRP. It's an older machine but gets the job done quite nicely - smooth with no stutters!

I have moved to Beyond ATC for MSFS. PF3 is outstanding if you don't fly with SIDs and STARs. If your flight plan uses SIDS and STARs, you need to "tweak" the waypoints and the altitudes, which is beyond my interest. The support is fantastic, but the developer has made it clear that he's too old to embark on a brand new version.

I've used PF3 for a very long time.  It sets me up for leaving the gate, guides me to the runway, handles the flight from departure to a standard approach, then guides me to the gate.  It suits this old bloke with its simplicity in operation, and as a bonus, Dave, the developer is always ready to help with any details or problems.

'@Flyforever is correct.  Dave is around as old as I am 😉.  I did some beta testing for him with the original version.

For me PF3 is definitely the best ATC program you can get !
I really have all the programs on the market: Proatc x/sr, rc4, pilot2atc, voxatc, fshud !
My favorite of all is PF3 !!!
Great support, great ATC sound with many local dialects, a gigantic number of setting options (if you want).
I can really only warmly recommend PF3 🙂
