SceneryTR LTFM Scenery P3dv5

Featured Replies

I'm looking to add Istanbul LTFM to my scenery collection, and wanted to get some opinions on the LFTM available on simmarket.

It has good reviews on Simmarket, but from my eyes, the textures don't look all that great especially on the taxiways and night lighting on buildings leaves a lot to be desired.

It is 30% for the next three days, so now is the time to buy.

If anyone that has this airport and can give me your thoughts, I'd appreciate it

I have it....be prepared for rough FPS with AI unless you use the lossless scaling application. I just used it for a night time arrival the other day. Full AI with lossless scaling and no problems. There is no way I would have been able to use it otherwise....just an absolute monster airport. The textures could be better but they still do the job well. It reminds me of maybe an old school T2G scenery...On sale it's worth it IMO.

I would also recommend buying the airport!

It might not be 5/5 in terms of details and textures but a strong 4.5/5 I would say! Furthermore, it works really nicely on my system so that's a plus 🙂

I would say its a reasonable quality airport (not to the standard of Flightbeam for example) that's way better than default and runs fine on my system. When I last flew in there I did not see much AI traffic so the AFCAD file may need some tinkering with. I usually run with AIG AI traffic and my % AI traffic is set around 40% which gives me some AI traffic but does not go overboard.

IMHO its worth getting just because, since my home base is central Europe, its a nice intermediate stop if I want to fly to somewhere like UAE, Oman or Qatar which direct is a 5-6 hr flight that I have limited time for when flying at the weekends.

Hi,

Try LTFM  https://turkishvirtual.com/turkishvirtual_LTFM_scenerys.asp

I have had this freeware airport for a couple of year and find it very good.

Regards

I installed this one when there were no other options and instantly uninstalled it without using it once. It really cannot be compared to the payware TR Scenery option.

I bought the TR Scenery version last week.  Runs well and can't complain too much.  I do wish the dynamic lighting/terminal lighting was a bit better though.

All in all, a good purchase and a HUGE airport.

Glad you enjoy it. Just an immense airport. How are you finding the performance?

No performance issues here.  Running locked at 30 FPS in the FSLabs/iFly Max on my aging system.  No complaints at all in that regard.   I am using FSHUD /AIG models for AI which seems to improve my performance over using the AIG Traffic manager which is odd.
