Just to chuck in an extra layer of confusion...have you played around with Reshade? Now that is a truly deep rabbit hole!

Indeed! I was so deep down that hole that I was lucky to get out 😅 Not going to repeat that anytime soon.

How about posting some images from your MSFS 2020 to show how close the colours are?  MSFS is well know for a big variance in realism with its colours & lighting.  Your real world photos are as equally irrelevant as my smilies without seeing your sim to back up your claims.  Show us you use zero filters of any kind or have not adjusted colour settings at all.

I love how real MSFS2020 can look, but I also know how bad it can look!

Reading "MSFS2002" and "Look bad" in the same sentence is pretty hilarious.

Tho it's funny that you'd demand me to post more images when you have provided none at all.

Watching Naha airport in the sim and in a real time webcam right now, and the similarity is uncanny despite the fact that webcams are naturally desaturated. And guess what? The yellow tint is still there. No filters needed.

As someone who dabbles rather heavily in photography, this position honestly baffles me.

Here's a picture taken with a high quality camera and lens in natural sunlight at 1 PM in June. This is straight JPG conversion from the RAW without any editing whatsoever. The yellow tint is clearly visible because that's how natural sunlight looks filtered by this planet's atmosphere.

By all means, if you like to watch stuff through a blue filter, more power to you, but REX Atmos and all these manual efforts to remove the "yellow tint" are making the visuals less realistic.

I was going to say your sim looks amazing and ask what your settings were 🤣

Don't be ridiculous, you know exactly what they meant.

Also, the differences in your picture/sim are still pretty "off" from what I can see. Are you implying that you don't use filters or anything and just naturally, by default...your sim looks good to you?

If yes, then please realize this thread is about WHAT Nvidia filters people like to use.

I know exactly that they they demanded me to present more evidence while they have provided nothing, which is funny indeed.

I am not "implying" anything. I'm saying that I, like the vast vast majority of MSFS users, don't need to use any filters, because yes, the sim naturally looks fantastic and very, very similar to reality.

I am an Nvidia user, and what I like to use is nothing, like the vast majority of Nvidia users. The OP made a clear claim about the "yellow tint" and I simply offered a counter to that, supported by images, since it's a somewhat common misconception that leads to the results also shown in the OP's post, which is a bluish tint that has absolutely nothing to do with reality.

Well, Ok now I understand something. The OP's title is quite literally  "Nvidia filters - which settings do you prefer?"

And you're still going off about how you don't use or need filters. Great. Then go make a different post about that instead of taking everyone off the topic. Stop arguing with everyone about semantics. Make your own post about not needing filters because, somehow, magically, your monitor is amazing apparently. Again, facts vs opinions.

It would be like someone stating, "your website is not really well put together." See? That's an opinion. Doesn't mean it's true.

Your method of not using Nvidia filters because it looks good to you? See? That's an opinion. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.

.....that you keep turning the proverbial steering wheel into an annoying jaunt of semantics because your monitor screen is "perfect" from the start? See?   I wish the moderators would start slapping some ban hammers around at people like you so we can stay on point for chrissakes.

Yours look pretty good! I think I might tweak mine a bit using some of yours as an example. Mine is fairly similar.

I don’t care that the majority don’t use filters (if that’s even true). Some people do, which is the point of this thread. If your mission was to derail this thread with your hyperbole then congratulations, you’ve succeeded.

You're very free to ignore my posts instead of playing moderator. The majority of my posts on this thread are in response to you continuously and aggressively arguing my points. No one can "take" you off topic unless you want to go there.

The OP made a claim about an aspect of the simulator, which I believe is false, hence I responded and offered some clarity. That is all. You're the one who felt the need to drag it on.

Nope. My intent was to correct the misconception that the simulator has an undue yellow tint, which you claimed. As I mentioned before, if you like your simulator to look unnaturally blue, more power to you. I simply pointed out that's not realistic and explained why.

If  the "yellow tint" really bothers you, I'd suggest simply reducing saturation. By introducing other tints you're simply messing things up.

Bueno, ahora entiendo algo.

This kind of people are best ignored, we have already seen them in other threads defending absurd things.

Very true. We all have.

Speaking of....how does your sim look? Do you use any app/software to change how it looks? We are looking for good examples on this thread.

I agree that I need to find a better solution. I’m not interested in the intense blue tint shown in my screenshot. I only want to make a very subtle change to what I consider a “yellow tint” (for lack of a better description).

I'd be interesting to hear how other people use Nvidia filters.

Are these settings located within the NVidea Control panel or is this for an app you purchase separately?  Cheers,

You need to have GeForce experience (installed by default with the GPU driver). Once in the sim hit alt-z to bring up the overlay.
