October 3, 20241 yr What seemed strange to me on the Japanese pearl divers was the constant hurry up of all the nude women diving, dumping the valuable pearl oysters, and then jumping back into the water. Busy, busy, busy. Meanwhile two males wearing wide straw sunshade hats were seated at a table in the middle of the little boat. On the table was was a big pitcher of tea and they sat idle and chatting while the women did all the work. It was a modern video of the way things are today.
