>Ian, the problem with the Config Manager (not saving the>updates) is fixed, manually creating this file, in Windows XP>(Note the root is different with the first release):>>C:/Documents and Settings/All users/Application Data/Digital>Aviation/PA31 CheyenneThat's not a particularly good place to put files...It would be far safer to use this to obtain the path to the specific user's Local/AppData folder://We want to ask Windows for the correct path to the Application Data//folder. This call to the API will work with any version of Windows.//There are two versions of the folder -//Current user roaming: CSIDL_APPDATA <-this is where FSX stores data//Current user local: CSIDL_LOCAL_APPDATASHGetFolderPath(NULL,CSIDL_LOCAL_APPDATA,NULL,0,(LPSTR)&appdataPath);

It's a pity you're having that many problems. I have had the aircraft for a few weeks now and since I carried out the David Roch reinstall methodology for SP2, the only problem I have with it is the Trimble CDT issue.It is IMHO, the best payware GA aircraft that is available right now.Cheers,Chris Porter:-outtaPerthWestern AustraliaIntel Core 2 Duo E6700ASUS P5N32-E SLI Deluxe Motherboard4GB Corsair VS DDR2 667Mhz RAMInno3D 8800 GTX 768MB GDDR3 590MHz VideoASUS MW221u 21" Wide Screen LCD2 x 320Gb WD SATA DrivesCreative X-Fi Platinum Sound Lian Li PC-B20B Aluminium Black CaseMS Vista Ultimate OEMCH FlightSim Yoke USBCH Pro Pedals USBCH Throttle Quadrant USBTrackIR 4 Pro and Track ClipMSFS FSX Deluxe Edition Full install at 1400x960x32Check out my 5th Around the World flight with MS FSX at http://members.iinet.com.au/~portercbp/fly...W_05/index.html

>....the only problem I have>with it is the Trimble CDT issue.>>It is IMHO, the best payware GA aircraft that is available>right now.>Yea, me too, but the Trimble issue with this aircraft pretty much makes it unusable, IMO. Thus, there is no way I can give this product any kind of recommendation after spending $45, let alone call it the 'best' payware GA aircraft available....far from it, as I still have a defective product, which for me, and others, is unusable. Now, if it was just me, I would understand, but it isn't, albeit the issue does seem to be a Windows System issue that only happens to some.Until the problems are resolved, I'm flying what I do feel is the 'best' FSX GA twin available....see my banner below.

Maybe reading the various payware forums>would give you some idea about bugs in products within this>hobby.>> Chris,I have been around Flightsim since the days of FSFW95 and been buying payware addons since they were available. I've had everything from The Dreamfleet 737, to the PSS 777, you name it. Yes, I am the guy who complained over at the DA forum, and apparently you haven't bothered to read my subsequent replies, and if you have your pompus attitude precedes you. The fact is, I DID have the OOM error, not just with the Super80, but with a few others as well. I followed the instructions on modifying the fsx.exe and I have NEVER had one error since! Believe me, I am well aware of the bugs inherent to any new complex software release. I've written software before, it sucks. My problem with the DA Cheyenne is the LEVEL of the bugs within it. I mean, for a $50 addon, I need to go in and create a folder JUST to make the #### load manager work? It was a known problem, and would have been SO easy to update the installer and then offer a patch to those who had already installed it, but they didn't. The crossfeed valve is backwards, and the Trimble crashes FS about 50% of the time.So that being said, I re-iterate that I know there are bugs in everything, but the amount in the DA Cheyenne is unacceptable for a $50 aircraft. If I paid $20 or $30 I wouldn't be complaining, but when you're pricing an addon on par with something like the Level D 767, I expect the same quality as the Level D 767.

It's a shame you feel that way, but... Your choice I guess. In respect of it being unuseable. the Trimble has enough functionality for me to use it to navigate on my "ferry" flight from Canada to Oz, so far for about 12 legs (approx 4850 Nm to date) using the IMHO "best" payware GA aircraft at the moment.I do however understand it is not yours. Well, I kinda like to actually use my GPS. For $45 I would expect I should be able to do so. I am able to do so even in the 'lowly' (and free) defaults, or any other freeware or payware aircraft's GPS I have.Now, that said, I am trying to be patient, and provide Hans the opportunity to get this sorted out.We shall see.
