November 20, 20241 yr Author Commercial Member More items for the list: In MSFS 2024, an InputEvent definition can be reported more than once. AAO 2020 doesn't like that, it will run into an error and the list of IEs won't be complete. This will be fixed in the AAO24 version (and the IE will also no longer be case sensitive, they've changed their names in MS24) I'm having trouble with the MSFS 2024 controller assignments though (those in the sim). I tried to delete them, but I am not allowed to clear out some items. For example, the hat switch on my joystick cannot be unassigned, it is always controlling the view. Can't do anything else with it, which is bad - I normally use it for trim. Probably as a result of this I am suffering from the wandering camera view of doom. My cockpit camera doesn't stay still, it is shifting upwards, slowly but surely. And I cannot look around in the cockpit using the mouse? If you want, send your proof of purchase to the support address (last page of the AAO manual). Then you can have the updated version 4.50 which includes the MSFS 2024 native variant of AAO. The feedback has been mostly positive. I am now aiming at releasing version 4.50 to the shops tomorrow. Edited November 21, 20241 yr by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI

Tried left, middle, right mouse button, holding down, doubleclick, everything. Mouse look is disabled for me - probably because something else is overriding it. Probably the same something that makes my cockpit view creep upwards all the time. The view controls have probably been assigned to one of my many USB devices, but I can't figure out which one. Yes, sounds like controller conflict, good luck finding a fix.
November 21, 20241 yr OK initial test with the FS2024 version...it imports my Fs2020 database, and connects .. all good so far.. tried a basic aircraft I had in Fs2020 (Milviz 310R) and it responds as expected Only small issue found so far entering the hardware change menu (to check my hardware assigns ( it had the 2 xtouches wrong way round) ) kills the Simconnect connection and I have to manually reconnect.. (maybe thats always been the case) but it seems to be working...good work !

November 21, 20241 yr A quick test with AAO 2024 confirmed that everything works fine. I'm using the CAN bus interface for all my inputs, including the joystick, switches, and encoders, so there were no changes for me when transitioning from 2022 to 2024. The built-in CAN interface effectively isolates hardware-related issues.
November 22, 20241 yr Good morning. Very excited to see a new version coming for ‘24, this is probably, along with Mobiflight, the MOST important bit of software I use for flight sim. You mentioned the new version has been released to stores; I purchased through JF, what’s the typical lag before they update it? Would love to get it set up before the weekend. Thanks in advance.
November 22, 20241 yr Where can I get AAO 2024? I got my copy from Just Flight and the version is LorbyAxisAndOhs_4_40_b22 from August 01. Sorry but I am addicted to AAO and Streamdeck.

(SimMarket should be live already) I am just waiting for all of them to be ready, then I will post the release note here in the forum. Edited November 22, 20241 yr by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI

Sorry, but I don't really know, but they were pretty quick with the last updates. Developers don't have direct access to their shop system, we have to send new versions by email. I suppose that there is a "human interface" at work on their end 🙂 LORBY-SI
November 22, 20241 yr Thank you for making it so easy to restore the database from one version to another! For anyone who hasn't be sure to update BOTH the MSFS and MSFS2024 versions, then back up the MSFS database and restore it into 2024. Works like a charm!
