For anyone who hasn't be sure to update BOTH the MSFS and MSFS2024 versions, then back up the MSFS database and restore it into 2024. Works like a charm! Second that. My transfer of databases didn't go quite that smoothly, but I was able to make it work. In my case, restoring the backed up database appeared to work, but when I reopened AAO, none of my configs were present. What I noticed when looking at the configs in %USERPROFILE%AppData\Local\LORBY_SI\LorbyAxisAndOhsMSFS24 was that ConfigDatabase_MSFS2024_1.xml had been updated, but ConfigDatabase_MSFS2024.xml had not. Deleting the empty config and copying/renaming the 1st config appropriately solved the problem and I now have all of my MSFS 2024 configs moved across.

November 23, 20241 yr I bought my version on flightsim.to. I can't find the new version there, am I just missing it?

The MS24 variant is just part of the package that you own. Download the ZIP again, the installer for 24 will be in there. AAO for MS24 is not a "version" of AAO, it is a separate = new program with its own installer and database (same as the variants for FSX, P3D, X-Plane) Edited November 23, 20241 yr by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI
November 23, 20241 yr Great job, Lorby! Importing the database after updating worked perfectly. Thanks for such a quick solution for 2024.
November 23, 20241 yr Great job and thank you very much! This will be the 1st time I've had to move over a profile from one sim (MSFS2020) to another. To do this, do I export? Do I import a saved file? Are they called templates or profiles? Any help will be highly welcomed. i9-13900K O/C | ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Hero | 32GB DDR5 6000MHz Kingston FURY | RTX 4090 24GB | 2x SSD M.2 (2TB Samsung 990 PRO) 1x SSD (4TB Samsung 870 EVO) | Windows 11 Home | H20: HydroLux PRO:HardLine Tubing| 1000w PSU | Starlink WiFi
November 23, 20241 yr How to make AAO autostart with 2024? Doesn't do automatically as with 2020. For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Could manually add to MSFS2024 EXE.XML: (example) <Launch.Addon> <Name>Axis and Ohs</Name> <Path>C:\Program Files\LorbyAxisAndOhs_MSFS24\LorbyAxisAndOhs_MSFS2024.exe</Path> <Disabled>false</Disabled> </Launch.Addon>

This has been disabled as it was unclear if it worked. It will be back with the next version. Meanwhile you can use the exe.xml that I've posted in the release thread on this forum. That way I also don't have problems with elevated administrator privileges, which are required for the WebAPI. There is an option for that in the menu "Application->Start simulator before connecting" Edited November 23, 20241 yr by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI

Got it figured out by saving the template in msfs2020 into its own folder and then sharing the link in MSFS2024. i9-13900K O/C | ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Hero | 32GB DDR5 6000MHz Kingston FURY | RTX 4090 24GB | 2x SSD M.2 (2TB Samsung 990 PRO) 1x SSD (4TB Samsung 870 EVO) | Windows 11 Home | H20: HydroLux PRO:HardLine Tubing| 1000w PSU | Starlink WiFi

Any help will be highly welcomed. What you call a profile is a "Configuration" in AAO. In addition to those there are "Templates", which are essentially just blueprints to create configs from. You can save every config as a template (that happens internally, the template is just a data object, not a file or something). Then you can export that template and import it elsewhere. You don't have to run the simulation, do it in "Offline Mode" (the red LED to the right), that is more convenient. (fun fact: with Offline Mode and vJoy or viGEM you can use AAO with other games too!) Edited November 23, 20241 yr by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI

I looked and saw there was no admin control assigned to it so that had me stumped thinking perhaps it was only because not enough downloads and users so for right now you have to accept it on start up. So will give this way a try. i9-13900K O/C | ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Hero | 32GB DDR5 6000MHz Kingston FURY | RTX 4090 24GB | 2x SSD M.2 (2TB Samsung 990 PRO) 1x SSD (4TB Samsung 870 EVO) | Windows 11 Home | H20: HydroLux PRO:HardLine Tubing| 1000w PSU | Starlink WiFi
