FS2024 & feel.

Featured Replies

Here are some impressions after about twenty hours of use.I did not go into details but rather the broad outlines of my interests.

The positive part:

-I loved the exceptional performances . A feeling of flying in a bubble without constraints.

-The speed to open FS24 or change airports is phenomenal.

-The lighting is amazing.

-The aircraft's behavior on the ground and in the air is excellent.

-Live weather rendering has progressed.

-All the new interactive features.

-FS24 in 4K...otherwise nothing.

The negative part:

-LOD distance is not good, it ruins everything.

-The harmony of autumn colors is not balanced in many parts of the world because the colour of the ground is sorely lacking.

-I expected much higher terrain resolution all over the world, this is too low. Google map makes a huge difference in this area. (You can use it in FS24 Alpha)

-Joystick setup is just awful

-It is a simulator that must be used in 4k

Thanks for this information that you bring us!

However i'll have questions regarding the sim:

- what're the fps, performance, are they smooth?

- Has photogrammetry been improved? in order to make the city environments more realistic? because in FS2020 it's horrible.

- ATC has been improved?

As for the negative points you mentioned, there's nothin' to worry about. There'll be updates that will be deployed to correct all these issues!

Otherwise great shots!

If photogrammetry is turned off then it's wonderful! 😉

Appreciate your input, Filou. And wonderful shots from you.

But that would be the same in MSFS2020 !

cheers 😉

Great shots, Filou. Especially when considering, that this is NOT the final product, but a Tech Alpha that was only open to us for stress testing the Microsoft servers!

Any attempt to stretch fuel is guaranteed to increase headwinds

My specs: AMD Radeon RX6700XT, AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, 32GB RAM, 34" monitor, screen resolution: 2560x1080

It looks good on the Alpha...

Thank you,

Yes, they all have that look that suddenly makes us travel in a different direction than that of the plane...😊

The city is Atlanta and I think it is in photogrammetry.

To be honest, since I invested in an RTX 4090 I no longer worry about the performances which were excellent in the Alpha in Ultra 4k.

About photogrammetry I have the impression that it was better implemented or perhaps too hidden for me by the excessive number of trees.

I didn't even think of using ATC, I've been using external software for a long time.

In any case, since my experience with this alpha version, I will not return to FS2020

This will probably be the case for most MSFS2024 users - I guess 🫠

cheers  😉

Yes without a doubt but in my case I will no longer use FS20 until the release of FS24

Once all addons have been updated. After that there'll be no going back.
