Blurry Ground textures

Featured Replies

Not sure if this is a me issue or an MSFS server issue, but is anyone else seeing blurry ground textures like this is as well? I'm pretty sure it was never this bad, it's so blurry in the Mid/Background. I don't remember such a hard transition

Could someone do a similar test please?

Looks much as it would in real flight.

I’m flying in and out of YSSY at the moment and my gut feeling is that the textures in general are more blurry since the weekend.

Nothing scientific to back it up - not sure if server related or just a system in need for a shader clean.

Looks absolutely dreadful.  I have not seen this bad in MSFS 2020, but I was VERY underwhelmed by the textures in the MS2024 tech alpha.

Erm, it was a tech alpha 🤔

Good grief that does look bad!  Even at TLOD 200 I don't see blurries like that.

Thank you for reminding me what I literally put in my post.

Can still be underwhelmed by it while realising it's a tech alpha, or do I have to put a disclaimer for you?

Common causes of blurriness can include:

Connection issues with ms servers or your ISP

TLOD set too low

Asinotropic filtering set too low

Render scale too low

General graphics settings in nsfs set too low

There are a few others and of course anything you do to try and improve the appearance usually results in decreased performance.
