"PT-only" quality factor for airports

Featured Replies

Nico,

Is it possible to develop some sort of quality factor, similar to one that we have for static planes? I see that airports differ greatly from one to another. Some guidance might help.

Thank you.
Dmitriy.

Good idea Dmitriy.

I have run a first test. All airports from archive/thirdparty, at Nov 2nd, around 17:00 utc. Took 2 seconds per aiport, so about 1,5 hour in total.

Here are the results of the top 135. The other airports have 9 parked aircraft or less.  (the ones with a very low Qf real are 0 of course).

I have also send them to Balthasar with the question how it is possible that one major airport has 70 and the other 10.

Thanks!.

Interestingly enough that while North American airports typically have very well static QF, they suffer badly in the "PT-only" area. KDEN has just 10 planes. C'mon! 🙂

That's my question to Balthasar too...

Great test, Nico! Thank you for running it. Interesting and weird results. I'm sure we all look forward to Balthasar's input.

Yes, but no solution yet. We will work together on how to improve this.

Was flying with PT-Only EBBR-EGLL yesterday. Both airports were full, live movements were smooth - picture perfect. I wish North America got the same treatment someday.
