Can anyone tell me what the native resolution of AIG traffic is?

Is it 4096, 2048 or 1024.

If it is 4096, I would like to reduce textures to either 2048 or 1024 .

There is a checkbox in the settings of AIG where you can force to use 2048 textures only. If this checkbox is unticked, it will install the highest available resolution, for newer paints it might be often 4096 then. I have this checkbox checked since my first AIG installation, as I do not see the reason why my AI traffic should use 4K textures...

This got me wondering what about FSLTL traffic. A majority of them are 4096. So, I just converted them to 2048 using DDS converter.

Yep, I converted my fsltl textures to 1024, they looked ok even relatively close.

I will use the texture converter to make my AIG traffic 2048, I will check the 2048 button for future airline installs.

there is no default texture size in OCI. Some paints are 1k, some are 2k and others are 4k. By default always the best resulution of an paint will get installed. If you limit to 2k OCI will downgrade every 4k paint. OCI will never upscale any paint to 2k or 4k.

So are we getting actual performance improvements by reducing the sizes?
