November 19, 20241 yr Hi everybody, I wonder what that saying means, could it mean space flight isn't far behind? Will we be launching and retrieving rockets in the near future? November 19, 20241 yr I am surprised they got caught out again, you would have thought with whatever figures they got from pre-orders, they would have had an idea of the likely load. They were hammered from the very second it was available, so i doubt that came from new sales right away. But another good one is Orbiter, which is similar from an orbital mechanics perspective, but it's a first-person cockpit game rather than a "build the rocket and watch it fly from the outside." MS Space Sim was kind of a cross between the two - you didn't build anything but it was closer to Orbiter than KSP in gameplay. Both of them are hard as all getout because unlike a real space program, you don't have anyone in mission control doing all the math for you. You get to do all that yourself, sitting in a cockpit not really knowing where you are or when to reenter so you have a shot at landing at the Cape. 😉 Oh, and autopilot largely doesn't exist so you get to hand-fly everything, making it yet again more difficult than real life. In short, they were freaking great. 😉 Ryzen 7 7800X3D/B650 X AX | 5090 | 32gig | Win10 | Pimax Crystal Light
