MSFS 2024 and A Pilots Life V2

Featured Replies

Now that the Fenix A319/320/321 aircraft are working in MSFS 2024, I am currently on my second Fenix A320 flight in A Pilots Life V2.

In order to get this working, you need to manually install FSUIPC as discussed on Pete Dowson's website.  Installation is easy as it more or less requires you to copy the fsuipc lvars file from your MSFS2020 Community folder to your MSFS 2024 Community folder.  After that, just start A Pilots Life V2, start MSFS 2024, start FSUIPC manually (make a shortcut to the .exe file if you need to) and voila, you are connected.  I can also confirm Navigraph Simlink works as well as Navigraph Charts (using it on my second monitor).

NOTE: There is a beta version of FSUIPC 7 out (version 7.5) I think.  You cannot use this as it will not communicate with A Pilots Life V2.  You must use the most current non-beta version (7.4.18 I think).

Good luck everyone.  Once the iFly 737 Max is updated, I will be uninstalling MSFS 2020.

Imagine that, less than 2 weeks post disastrous initial launch.  Contrast with how long it took to get anything like Fenix A320 into MSFS 2020.

I'm using 7.50 beta version of FSUIPC in MSFS 24 and a pilot's life v2. Also using the Fenix with no issues at all. A pilots life is detecting FSUIPC and MSFS 24 just fine.

Ovi has updated a Pilots LIfe V2.  It is compatible now with the 7.50 beta version.  Install as directed on the FSUIPC site.

I'm using the same FSUIPC version in MSFS 2024 that I had been using for the past year in 2020 with no issues.  I just copied and pasted the exe.xml info so it auto starts with 2024.  I don't use FSUIPC for anything other than communication with external programs such as APL though.

I did this as well, after i copied it there was some complaint about an entry, I just edited it so it is only FSUIPC and TDS starting, both banners appear on startup, although I've not tried to use the TDS yet however.

I can confirm that FSUIPC 7.5.0c worked fine with the latest/current version of APL (in MSFS 2024). No unusual steps or voodoo required :)
