November 25, 20241 yr Hi everyone! I bought MSFS 2020 from the Microsoft Store but am considering picking up 2024 on Steam since most of my games are there. Is anyone aware of any downsides to doing things that way? Thanks, Alistair
November 25, 20241 yr I have seen some early youtube videos reporting that the store version has better performance then the Steam version. I have no evidence to back that up, or if it is really true or not, as I only have the store version. Just something I heard watching MSFS 2024 youtube videos. November 25, 20241 yr Went from Xbox gamepass 2024 to Steam standard 2024 version. No difference between them. If you can tolerate ctds floating trees menu freezes then more power to you. Edited November 25, 20241 yr by 40track
November 25, 20241 yr My understanding that: whatever you bought from the MS store, you can also run it on X-Box. Whereas, if you buy it on Steam, you will not be able to run MSFS on an X-Box. If X-Box is not an issue, Steam is fine. That's what I did for MSFS 2020. Holding off on FS2024 until the dust settles.
