Beam eyetracker
Just noticed, 2.4.5 is the version I'm using. Beam Eyetracker notified me of a beta ver. 2.5.2 that eliminates the need for OpenTrack. I haven't tried it yet, but it sounds promising.

Beam eyetracker
Chris, just a suggestion. Perhaps you've already tried, if so, I apologize. In BET, you can select to follow either Head, eyes, or both. There is also menu to filter these movements out with out resorting to the very sensitive curves in OpenTrack. Also in OT you can select which channels to monitor. When adjusting the "X", "Y" "Z" channels, it's recommended to do them individually with the other channels disabled. Once each channel is set up, then re-enable the other two. Personally it worked fine for me in Win 10, but Win 11 blocked OT interacting with ATS. BET moves fine, and OT responds, but states "No Video" and the game does not respond. l Haven't gone back to it. I've changed the settings in Win Defender to allow OT in interface. BET works in itself, but when I use it with MSFS 2020, I get CTD. I stopped using it.🤒 Good luck with your case..

Question: Asobo T-6 livery requirements
Thank you, Ryan. I suspected that after reading that the entire expansion pack was necessary. Thank you for confirming.

Question: Asobo T-6 livery requirements
I purchased a single T-6 from the Reno Expansion in the MP. After reviewing/downloading several liveries, it seems that I'm unable to change the livery of this particular T-6 (Six Cat) unless I purchase the entire expansion package. Could someone confirm or offer a workaround such that I might be able to use another livery for this AC? I've downloaded several, but they don't show up in the livery menu. Thank you in advance..

Modman- Addons Linker which is best?
Jarnie, I whole heartily support Addon Linker. This is, IMO, one of the most powerful addons available for MSFS, and most useful. You can configure flights to any option you want. For Instance. You can create Military AC in Asia, Commercial AC in South America, bush flying in North America, GA flights in Australia. You can create "presets" that once configured to your particular flight, you can select which AC, liveries, scenery, scenery libraries and any specific utilities that you might use. Once the Presets are built and named, then later, at any time, you can just click on the descriptive "Preset" and Addon Linker will auto load your configuration. No more spending fifteen minutes selecting, sceneries, AC and specific scenery libraries you might need. Once created, one click on the preset of choice and only those items are loaded into the community folder. This makes for quicker loads and by customizing the storage location of these folders,( which I store most on slower drives), only the small link is stored in the community folder on your active M.2 SSD, you trim your active drive and hasten the sim load. This is absolutely the most essential addon available. It might take awhile getting comfortable, but definitely worth it. YT is your friend.

B-36H from Virtavia just released on MP
Anyone try this out? Would be great if this beastie was a worthy replica. Initial ratings are low in MP, but not many responding yet. On another site; one remarked that the sound set was pretty good. Also, is this available anywhere else?

HELP: MSFS2020 Nav data in default map no longer accessible
For the past two weeks I've been unable to retrieve nav data from the in-sim default map (V). Used to right-click on nav icon/airport on map and the data (rwy hdgs, freqs, Lat/Lon) would display to the right side of the map display. Not sure if I did something silly, or did an update remove this function. Any help would be appreciated. TIA..

Sky Simulations DC-9 for MSFS
Rich, that price might be Australian dollars, but at Simmarket, it's about $50. here's a link: https://secure.simmarket.com/sky-simulations-skysimulations-dc-9-msfs2420.phtml Several posts on other sites state that textures, sound and immersion might not be deserving of this price point, though. YMMV

MSFS 2020 Connection lost and CTD
Here in the California Central Valley..same here. Is this the foreboding of what's to come with either of MSFS versions?

PMDG 747 dev update
That first rendering is phenomenally detailed. If the rest of the plane is like this, the 747 will be awesome.

Going to Steam for MSFS 2024 from Microsoft Store for 2020?
My understanding that: whatever you bought from the MS store, you can also run it on X-Box. Whereas, if you buy it on Steam, you will not be able to run MSFS on an X-Box. If X-Box is not an issue, Steam is fine. That's what I did for MSFS 2020. Holding off on FS2024 until the dust settles.

"Too many users are trying to Connect at the same time"
XBox server status webpage states as of five minutes ago, ALL SERVICES up and RUNNING. NO DELAYS Shouldn't be too long before the logjam is cleared.

+300 000 downloads for my freeware airports: thank you again
Vincent, congratulations and it's no wonder. You definitely deserve it. Your airports seem more than just images.... but rather, environments that beg to be explored. Thank you for your many contributions to the MSFS community. I second many of the accolades here. Our community is so much better off with your heartfelt devotion to making our destinations better. Thank you...

IniBuilds/Kwikflight B-1 Lancer
In the interest of transparency, I discovered a youtuber who has a more critical review. Check his channel out and then decide for yourselves if this is a product you'd want to invest in. He's correct on many points. As I mentioned, its price point is too high for what one normally gets in MSFS. I don't feel angry about the purchase, just disappointed at the system depth for the price. Here are the links to his review and the comments from the developer after the review posted. IniBuilds/Kwikflight B-1 Lancer
Just a quick update after spending another couple hours with Kwikflight's B-one. Really having a lot of fun with it. The lack of system depth does mean one gets into the air quicker. 😅 I flew several approaches by hand and via AP. They were vanilla LOC-GS, VOR-VOR and Direct-GPS. All were very capable and accurate . I think this model might be little overpowered for the purist, but man, it' s fun screaming along M 1.3. Pull the AB's off and it cooks along M .94. One can cover a lot of ground at that rate. Atlas, there seems to be no TFR capability, yet. The control boxes are there, but non functional at this time. This is a very stable platform and a pleasure to fly. The engine sounds are there, but not being familiar with RL B-1, can't attest to their accuracy. But the startup whine and light off is present as well as the shutdown howl. Looking forward to trying high altitude long distance flight. Should be a good experience. 😊

IniBuilds/Kwikflight B-1 Lancer
I bought it and I think I had mistaken it for the B-2. Anyway, at $27 usd, I was eager to try it out and this is my first impression of it after about an hour introductory flight. it's very pleasant to fly. Can't vouch for the accuracy of the sounds, but they are loud.😱 Overall it looks very good, inside and out. Systems depth is a little shallow. The panel really looks good, unfortunately, few click spots. I did enjoy hand flying it for awhile and as long as your speed is up, very benign and gentle. It cruises nicely and responds quickly to gentle nudges on the yoke. The "FMS" is simple, basic, but is most adequate. One doesn't get confused and dragged down with a lot of minutia. Easily create flight plan in the cockpit or it will auto-insert from the World Interface. I didn't see any means for loading a OFP though. As UrgentSiesta suggested it does track a route from A to B, very nicely I might add. I had it track a magenta line with 120 degree switch back and came upon the intersection quickly without realizing I was traveling almost 500 kts. It just rolled the wings over and only overshot it slightly but quickly recovered and re-established on track. Holds the APP with LOC and GS as long as your speed is up.. ~170 kts. If your speed drops below 140-ish, expect serious issues. Elevator effectiveness disappears about 120-130. Sometimes AB in the engines might save it, but if you're below 5k', it's iffy. A couple of times I found myself slewing up to over 5K' to recover. Overall, I'll have a lot of fun with it. The manual is very sparse. Has a few pictures, with descriptions and little documentation on system ops. Saw no mention of opening bomb bay doors. The crew hatch is closed by operating the inflight refueling door. 🥺 It could be improved and hopefully the developer will enhance some of these features. Would be great if we could use Touching Clouds Air Show Assistant and do some InFlight Refueling.😄 Couldn't assign a key to wing sweep.. slight inconvenience. The engine start sequence was a little peculiar, but perhaps that was due to my being unfamiliar. Took a couple flicks of the starter switch from Off-Start-Run to energize the starters. CTRL-E does work if all else fails. TFR? nope, don't think so. I have the Typhoon and that beast will track 300' off the deck. Haven't really tried the B-one in TFR, but no mention in the "manual" and there are no click spots on the control head in the cockpit. The manual states that it cruises at 400kts, but I was screaming down the valley at over 630 kts 4500'. Inching up towards Mach whole number. I didn't hang in there long enough to determine if it would reach it..(I was approaching that 120 degree intersection mentioned above.) If it was $20, it'd be a no-brainer. Personally, I won't quibble over the difference. I will get a lot of use out of it. It goes very nicely. It "feels" big and heavy, not like the FBW AB380 that released today; but at least somewhat believable. Slowing down from 600 kts didn't seem realistic; as with the throttles at idle, I traveled about thirty miles to get down to 250 kts. OTOH, once touching down, seems the auto brakes, or invisible drogue chute brought that beast down from 130 kts to 50 kts in really short order. Again, the developer has done a very nice job modeling the cockpit. It's clear, believable and looks very good. Just disappointing that one can't interface with many systems. The essential ones get the job done and the sight picture out of the cockpit is very good without any blind spots and a good view of the PFD and ND. Looking forward to spending more time with this AC and the 380 well until after MS2024 releases.

PMDG panel wont load
Not sure if this is what you mean. When I first d/l update, could mouse over controls and blue tool tips would appear, but no action and yoke hard over to the side with no controller response. Ultimately removed, and reinstalled update via admin mode.

New PMDG update
My first experience with the latest update was a disaster. After many restarts, reloads, etc, was totally unable to use the 736. Nothing reacted to controller input. I then read on the PMDG forums, that many times that happens and they suggested, totally wipe clean all install files of AC from storage. Reinstall with Admin privileges and restart computer. I performed suggested activities deleting all files in "Packages", user/appdata/Steam/etc and the Ops Center folders. I reinstalled with Admin priv, restarted computer and MSFS and amazingly: Everything worked fine and have noticed an improvement not only in ground handling, but in LNAV as well. Unlike some on the forum, my track deviation was absolutely minimal. I do not have Navigraph so I didn't experience the update issue. I'm enjoying hand flying and flying the "magenta line" in the 736 very much; particularly short fields. Excellent improvement.
