Nvidia settings

Featured Replies

Hello,

I went to the Nvidia control panel and noticed that MSFS 2024 had already been added in the 3D settings.

I've had a RTX3070 card for quite a long time and I'm wondering if I should reconfigure Nvidia specifically for MSFS 2024.

If so, what are the ideal settings?

Can anyone help me?

Thank you in advance.

You should be fine with the exact same settings you use for MSFS2020. For this, you find a plethora of tipps and tricks all over the net, I guess even specifically for the GPU you use. But as each rig is individual, you wont be able to get the best settings without some try and error on your side...

The answer will depend on many things.  I would start with default or your previous msfs2020 settings, then experiment from there.  There are a number of videos on youtube where people suggest their ideal settings, though it will be system dependent and also depend on whether you are looking for quality or performance.

I particularly use the maximum amounts of A A and AF that I can in all flight simulators if I have sufficient performance levels

Thanks for your answers. I'll try to begin with the same settings as 2020.

It is of little value  following someone else's settings unless they have a very similar display setup to your own.  Most people, including myself, don't really know what most of those settings actually mean.  So it's all a bit trial and error.

Personally, I leave them alone. Most of them have no impact on the sim, lots of legacy settings and few that basically do what can already be done inside the sim. I only use frame rate limiter in NVCP specifically for MSFS, because that one works best with frame generation.

Anybody managed to get DLSS Ultra Quality to show up in 2024?  I have used Nvidia inspector to change the relevant DLSS settings, but I just see 'quality' in 2024.

Thanks for your answers. Today I have made the same settings as 2020 and see how it works.
