Win 11 24H2 w/ 7800X3D: audio cutouts w/ stuttering

All this developed post update to 24H2 and I'm perplexed as this wasn't happening pre.  Since 24H2 update a few days ago I have tried installing the latest AMD chipset drivers as well as RealTek's very new drivers that may be related to this 24H2 update.  I thought the chipset driver update may have fixed it but alas on my last flight it's back.  I also did a clean reinstall of the latest NV driver for my GPU.

If you can relate to this and found a cause/cure jump in.

Thanks

Noel

So for you too it was after the 24H2 update?  It's down to updating the BIOS at this point as I really have exhausted any fixes I can come up with.  One thing I realize I haven't done is run the sim thru PC speakers instead of my Sony headphone who knows maybe the jack is messed up so I will try that first then do the BIOS update if no joy.

Updated the BIOS and no joy.  So tested the PSU which is an 8 month old Corsair R1000x and it essentially failed the test:  PG value was 80, whereas 100-500ms is within normal range and so it was suggested to replace the PSU.   One might think this should only affect bootup, not under load when flying.  So I started an RMA with Corsair to replace the PSU.  In the interim I bought a replacement, newer build model of R1000X.  Two flights now in different planes in complex scenarios and no more cutouts.  I'm afraid to celebrate but it looks hopeful so far!

After 24H2 update I once had a flight with audio stuttering. It was gone the next flight.

One thing I noticed that my CPU(13900KS) was at 75%. I think it has to do with CPU throttling, but that is just a thought.

Ten years ago I bought a Creative SoundBlaster Z for recording music from a DAT player to my HDD. I have transferred it to two computers since then. Never any problems with sound until now.

But since this latest Windows update I can't get any sound from Radar Contact. I have to keep uninstalling the SoundBlaster hardware in Device Manager and then it works but only for that session.

The card has no driver updates and now appears incompatible with Win 11. I've switched my speakers back to the mobo sound inputs and all is well.
