MS2024 Problem using G1000 in C172

Featured Replies

I'm trying to manually set up a route in the C172 using the G1000 but can't press any of the knobs with the mouse button FMS, ALT, NAV or COM. I'm using Legacy mode in the Cockpit Interaction System.

Anyone else having this problem and is there a fix, works fine in MS2020.

I have no problems pressing any of the buttons or turning the knobs in MSFS 2024, but I am not using the legacy mode anymore. I am using the new mode, whatever default mode it is now in MSFS 2024.

Ok i've just changed Legacy mode to Lock and it now works using the Right mouse button, but when I hover the mouse over the knob it lights up with that annoying blue flashing light, anyway to turn that off.

The inability to do anything with the mouse pointer in the sea 172 has happened to me several times. Restarting the SIM always fixes the problem. I found a change in the livery sometimes fixes the problem.

It is really annoying that The sim is so inconsistent in its behavior. Why does the default 172 work

perfectly three times in a row and then misbehave three times in a row?

Yeah, I’ve had that. I can only assume it’s this streaming business. Hopefully they’ll soon allow us to actually download the aircraft onto our drives and this will sort these sort of problems…..hopefully….

Annoyingly no, there was a mod for MSFS2020 but it doesn't work for 24, I too detest that blue flashing nonsense.

That's "lock". I believe it was the default in MSFS 2020 too - but I changed it pretty quickly. Hard to break old habits...
