December 7, 20241 yr So, here is the question. TIA 9950X3D, X870E ROG CROSSHAIR HERO, Corsair Dominator Titanium 64GB DDR5-6000 PC5-48000, ASUS RTX 5070Ti 16GB, 9100 PRO 4TB Samsung ,990 PRO 4TB Samsung, AX1600i 1600 Watt 80 Plus Titanium ATX, ASUS 360 ARGB EXTREME 360mm Liquid CPU Cooling Kit.
December 7, 20241 yr I think it's good. Haven't had a runway incursion / traffic still on runway for weeks. If you don't take shortcuts on your own or do things like pausing your game on approach or using sim rate on approach, it will be very good. For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.
December 7, 20241 yr My question would be....does it improve the woeful runway animation of the AI planes? AI planes using the default system neither rotate nor land properly. December 7, 20241 yr Author Thanks. As we are talking here, what is the source of BATC AI traffic injection? For some reason, they do not allow me into their Discord (invalid invite) 9950X3D, X870E ROG CROSSHAIR HERO, Corsair Dominator Titanium 64GB DDR5-6000 PC5-48000, ASUS RTX 5070Ti 16GB, 9100 PRO 4TB Samsung ,990 PRO 4TB Samsung, AX1600i 1600 Watt 80 Plus Titanium ATX, ASUS 360 ARGB EXTREME 360mm Liquid CPU Cooling Kit.
December 7, 20241 yr Author And one more. Does BATC talk with ADE file? Let's say that if a taxi link is broken (typical case with many ADE files), how BATC deals with this situation? 9950X3D, X870E ROG CROSSHAIR HERO, Corsair Dominator Titanium 64GB DDR5-6000 PC5-48000, ASUS RTX 5070Ti 16GB, 9100 PRO 4TB Samsung ,990 PRO 4TB Samsung, AX1600i 1600 Watt 80 Plus Titanium ATX, ASUS 360 ARGB EXTREME 360mm Liquid CPU Cooling Kit.

BATC completely controls the aircraft's movement, it doesn't use any of the default AI systems. 11 minutes ago, G-YMML1 said: And one more. Does BATC talk with ADE file? It might just say 'taxi at pilot's discretion' Edited December 7, 20241 yr by Tuskin38

December 7, 20241 yr AI and players get the exact same instructions. Probably just routes them around it. If there's no other route, I have no idea. I know at airports with missing taxiway names (like Asobo/Gaya's KATL), the BATC just gives players and AI a path to follow. Edited December 7, 20241 yr by Tuskin38
December 7, 20241 yr Can anyone point me to any BATC videos showing the animation of the AI planes during take off and landing? I have just watched one (at SeaTac), and the animation of the take off was woeful. Just like default, the planes were literally jumping off the ground, and then rotating. Not even close to the quality of the AI plane rotation behaviour in P3D. This video was four months ago, so I am hoping that significant improvements have been made since then. There's two videos on the BATC discord showing what you want. https://discord.com/channels/1082413096045391915/1163299301980635177/1306829874597728256 They have improved the animations very much in the last couple of weeks, they are now very good. As others have mentioned, it's as good as it gets. It's worth it. If the File is not good, it will have you taxi on your own. If the file is corrupted, it will not load that airport and present an error. Rick D http://g5flyer.tumblr.com/

December 8, 20241 yr Thanks. I have successfully entered the inner sanctum EDIT: The landings look good now, and the take offs have significantly improved.
