My VA requires pilots to start their flights at the gate. Once at the gate I can remove the pins for the pitot tubes and also open the door and be in the pilots seat. The problem I have is I can't remove the engine covers or the chocks. I can click on the pins but nothing happens. I am using the B737 8 MAX.

Any ideas?

Couple of suggestions for you which may vary in milage:

Get closer to the engine cover/chocks and try clicking the rear chock on the main landing gear.

Thanks. I tried your suggestion. However the only pins I have are for the pitot tubes. I tried F8 which I think is supposed to toggle the pins. Nothing happens when clicking on the rear chock main gear, but when clicking the nose gear chock the wheel turns blue?

Go to Settings - General - flight Interface - Under Cockpit Camera set Cockpit Interaction System to 'Legacy'

That should do it.

Okay, but I still can't remove the engine covers or chocks. Am I supposed to see my avitar moving around? I can only move the camera with my mouse.

The camera is your avatar point of view (though you can set it to 3rd person). Is your pointer changing to a hand when hovering over the items?

No, it remains a cursor.

You need to move closer to the chocks or cover. 

It's as far as I can move the camera.

Hmmm, when this close it works for me!

I must be doing something wrong. Using my mouse I can move around only on the pilots side of the aircraft. Using the number + key I can't zoom in. I can't move very close to the wheel or engine. 

Make sure you right click your mouse once first.

 

Right click does nothing. Left click to remove pins. Wheel will lock or unlock the mouse. Moving the mouse after clicking the wheel allows me to move the view around with mouse.

Try using Shift C to enter/exit the cockpit and see what happens.

Does nothing. I can get into the cockpit by clicking on the door handle. Can't start the engines because of the covers.
