FS2024 cannot quit to desktop

Featured Replies

Every time I decide to quit to desktop  FS2024, the game freezes, so I had to kill it from the taskbar, is it normal ?

With some aircraft, yes.

What were you flying?

This has happened to me too, but was caused by an addon. I don't really recall which it was though.

Another thing you could try is making sure your system clock is in sync with the web time servers. Go to time and date options and force the sync. If possible also enable auto sync.

This solved my initial problems when FS 2024 was released and the loading times were too long...

If you're testing the MSFS 2024 beta, it's normal because it's actually a beta of the beta version.
If you're playing what we'll call the stable version of MSFS 2024, then this behavior is not normal. I recommend checking MSFS without any modifications. For example, try renaming "Community" folder to "Community_Copy" and create a new, empty "Community" folder.

If you're flying one of the IniBuilds Airbuses, or any other aircraft that uses WASM, this is normal and should be fixed in SU1.

Have you updated and rebooted Windows?

Startup taking time again could be related to clock settings/sync. Ser above my other post...

Nope, culprit is the current dev version of the A380...

Ah! But I thought the FBWs weren't yet fully FS 2024 compatible?

Exactly, but as others reported that it works already almost flawlessly, I used AddonLinker to have it MSFS2024. Was a one click reversion 🤣
