Recommended Posts

"The Liberty kills my computer's frame rate..."Have you downloaded the latest version of Liberty XL2 for FSX? Much improved and SP2/DX10 Compliant. Best of all it's free to current owners. Now back to the F1 Mustang please:-)

My pleasure, Jim.For a minute there, when I was putting in my order, I was afraid I'd ordered a real one by mistake, and would be on the hook for three million bucks. My Economic Stimulus check wouldn't cover THAT! :-lol

>Does it have the terrain awareness map?Would be very nice but I would not count on it. From the incomplete screen shot it looks however like shoreline contours are there. Maybe their FS11 edition of the Mustang simulator will feature the full G1000 with the SVT (synthetic vision). Cessna just announced that Mustang owners can upgrade to this option. However one thing is certain - SVT will take a LOT of CPU power.Highly recommend this PP presentation of G1000-SVT:http://www.flydominion.com/Dominion%20site...Auto%20play.ppsMichael J.http://img142.imageshack.us/img142/9320/apollo17vf7.jpg

From the>incomplete screen shot it looks however like shoreline>contours are there. >>You sure are assuming for a person looking at one beta screen shot. Also, in the end, there will most likely be 2 versions. The Standard Mustang and the Pro version. Lets just say you haven't seen anything yet and until you do, you are simply speculating. Also, we probably should be keeping these kind of discussions and speculations to the Mustang forum. Thats what it is for.Jim Rhoads

>Flight planning done right from the unit,>not from the FS Planner. That's fine if I can still load the FSX flightplan into the G1000 as in the Wilco Citation X.Alex

>>Flight planning done right from the unit,>>not from the FS Planner.>>That's fine if I can still load the FSX flightplan FSX flight planner is really way too limiting (for example has no concept of arrivals or departures) for some higher-end products (sounds like the Mustang may fit into this category) like for example the PMDG 747. If you want to have more serious external flight planning for such aircraft you need a tool like for example FSBuild. Michael J.http://img142.imageshack.us/img142/9320/apollo17vf7.jpg

I'm aware of these limitations. In the Citation X you can load the FS flightplan and still add departure and arrival procedures from the AIRAC database. This is just simpler and for short trips the FS flightplanner is sufficient in 90% of all cases.Anyway. I registered and I'm looking forward to a great product. :-)Alex

Anyone knows how much is going to be? These add ons are great but they are a bit too expensive. :(

People cry for more realism. It has gotten to a point now that they can have it, but it is going to have to be paid for. I don't work for free, and most anyone I know doesn't either. We don't have magic wands that produce this stuff and if we are going to produce products that do essentially the same as their counterparts and nobody is willing to pay for it, we may as well be building real units for a market that will.Like I said in the Mustang forum, if I marched in the local Chrysler dealership and told them that I wanted a new car with fine Corinthian leather seats (heated as well) a full blown Bose sound system and all the options but only want to pay base price... I can assure you they would show me the front door to the building. You get what you pay for and in this case, you are going to have too.

Good luck. The simulation might be complex, but they are not as complex as other games in the market that takes year of development and hundreds of resources. For single aircraft add on charging the same amount of money as the FSX itself it is just not fair pricing. It is just lack of competition. Then they cry about piracy. Well what do you expect? Of course then they say it is as expensive because they know it is going to be pirated sooner or later. So get as much as you can up front mentality.
