March 6, 20251 yr A couple of little short videos I threw together, teasing the convergence of sims, ...even before I had set things up properly.... what fun, ....what do you think ??? Works in FlightSim 2020 & 2024 This video shows an enhanced airport with many objects and good detail..... Edited March 6, 20251 yr by aerostar

March 6, 20251 yr The CrossKart by GotFriends looks awesome! But what makes it so awesome is that the terrain looks so much better in MSFS 2024! And of course, the new rocks that have been placed procedurally by AI all over the world, and that the CrossKart or your plane can roll over these rocks and be affected by it, make the ground that much more realistic than any other flight simulator out there. Yes, I do think MSFS 2024 is another step towards "simulation convergence" because everything is starting too look so good at the ground level. If they can make cities look good as well from the ground level, it's just a matter of time until a future MSFS becomes flight sim, train sim, truck sim, etc. This is all possible because of the huge advancement in terrain graphics in the MSFS franchise. March 6, 20251 yr I'm happy to have a separate flight sim and a sailing sim and a train sim and even a racing sim (or I would be if I was at all interested in cars). I may be in the minority of one but I don't want a multi vehicle sim thanks very much. 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2 - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base

I may be in the minority of one but I don't want a multi vehicle sim thanks very much. All they need to do is have an option in settings so that you can show whatever multiplayer vehicles you want to see. For example, they could have a checkbox for planes, trains, and trucks. If you uncheck trains and trucks, then it works just like MSFS 2024 does right now and you can only see other multiplayer planes. But if you check trains and you check trucks, you can see other multiplayer trains and multiplayer trucks. Pretty easy for them to add this to the settings. Also, if a future MSFS turns into a train simulator and truck simulator, it actually benefits flight simmers, because there will be extra revenue from those users, and that revenue will be used to make everything at ground level look more realistic. For example, truck users would demand very realistic looking roads, highways, and signs, with cars and traffic that move more realistic. Higher quality roads and highways, with cars and traffic that move more realistic, is just a benefit for us flight simmers too. I actually look forward to an all in one earth simulator one day, because they would pour even more money into the digital twin earth of MSFS. Drive a car to a train yard, take a train to a bus yard, drive a bus to an airport and fly wherever you want. Far fetched? Maybe… but who knows where the tech will be in 10 or 20 years. Maybe it will all be on a holodeck at that point 😂 Dave Current System (Running at 4k): ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-F, Ryzen 7800X3D, RTX 5090, 55" Samsung Q80T, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, EVGA CLC 280mm AIO Cooler, Brunner CLS-E NG Yoke, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS & Stick, Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant & Add-on, VirtualFly Ruddo+, TQ6+ and Yoko+, GoFlight MCP-PRO and EFIS, Skalarki FCU and MCDU
