Hmmm... Orbx scenery, which is pretty good. But if you'd like some REALLY beautiful scenery, you might take a look at this:

https://lyndiman.com/lyndimans-new-zealand-ortho-photography-set/

It's quite a chunk, but well worth it. And it costs nothing.

Thank you!!! Looks AMAZING! Have to check though how it'll ride along with MapEnhancement pro I use for orthos and mesh...

Interesting - this not quite the run de rigeur out of RAF Valley - the Mach Loop, clockwise or anticlockwise. There is an older separate thread with quite a few videos. Scenery quality definitely goes to ORBX standard XP is ok but not that detailed.

I have a few jets that I collected simply to do the Mach Loop, it is an interesting and challenging flight operation simulation. Either way once at Gate IN north or south it is turn turn turn and stay on the valley floors it is a tough ride at high speed. Weather can get challenging quickly on the Welsh Coast as well. I like the Cessna A-37 Dragonfly on this one. There is the Restauravia F8 to do it in if the F16 or F4 don't tickle - no decent Hawk alas in XP. There is a respectable Folland Gnat as well. RAF Valley is a word not allowed aerodrome with lack of taxiways and movement on the apron.

M346 interesting - too much button pushing!

I use AO for rest of world and Lyndiman for NZ, separately (using two scenery.ini files). Doubt they will co-exist.

good but the water create problems with photorealistic scenery;  visible at 9.05;  I see that far too often.

Not in the Lyndiman 2025 orthos.

This is also very different. XP12 Blackburn Buccaneer. Full systems payware standard. Quirky British aerospace design and engineering implemented. Seriously 1960s jet with no compromises. Tacan or VOR only or hand held map! Totally electro-mechanical beast. Now this one is also something completely different.

VC is completely accurate and beautifully crafted. Easily gives the Leonardo M346 a run for its money. Has to be watched slow and on approach but high speed rock solid rocket ship at zilch to higher altitudes. Totally free to share with the XP Community. A revelation in quality.

@coastaldriver Thank you for the link to that Wonderful Buccaneer !!!

Available from the .Org Repository right?

Yes, at the ORG. https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/94002-blackburn-buccaneer/&tab=comments#comment-412200

I think the author is Marcelle O, he also did the Blackburn Beverley which is also an authentic gem as well (I think a port somehow s from Jahn's FSX version) either way the output is very impressive. Documentation is limited.

Here a couple of shots of the cockpit for those interested.

I've seen his last few XP vids. IDK what he's done with reshade and such, but there's an overall pall and cast that's distinctly unpleasant.

Reminds me of a bright but very smoggy day...

There are .mil routes all over the place. Check out CGAviator, a former RAF Instructor Pilot, who has quite a few vids on realistically flying the JF Hawk on very cool routes across the many training areas there.

REALLY gives a sense of the complexity of high speed aviating at low level! 👍

I'm quite fond of the M-346! It's got well fleshed out nav systems for a mil jet addon and just like a 737, it just takes a bit of time to get used to them.
