If you try with a simple plane let's say Cessna 182 are you still experiencing the audio pops or is it just with the Fenix and FBW A320?

Yes interesting to see if you have issues still when you are in a completely unacceptable Photogrammetry area...

  • Yeah I've been flying with 2020 for the time being until there is a fix for 24. I can't fly with how it's performing at the moment unfortunately.

Just had another thought .

Is HAGS turned off in Windows Settings that I remember caused some Audio Pops for some folk...

I think I have that on since I heard those with 5800X3D CPUs were told to have HAGS turned on. But I can try with it off

Turned HAGS  back on since I like having frame gen enabled. Did use my onboard audio instead of my sound blaster and it did not solve the issue. Now will try the Carenado Cessna 337 intead of the Fenix.

UPDATE: with the 337 is the issue was still there, not as crazy as the Fenix, but yes there were stutters and sound popping and distortion

That's interesting...

Are you using Process Lasso because I think you have a V Cache CCD Chip?

I assign 1 to 11 CCD to MSFS and everything else to 11 to 24

I also remember turning off the onboard graphics card and making sure the Nvidia card is the only one in Device Manager working. I also turned off all the various drivers except the Realtek one.

How annoying this bug is.. I think you should do a full uninstall clear out the Nvidia Cache all the temp folders and just start afresh and just start with the basic default plane without anything. I only had pops with the Fenix there is a thread about these audio issues on their discord so others are having the same problem but I was fine on default aircraft and as I mentioned it was always worse in a large Photogrammetry area... It's gone now and I don't know which setting it was that I changed but I am trying to remember all the things that I tried.. I will keep thinking.. I do know that there was an update to Windows recently that caused audio problems if you Google that would be interesting to see if you have that particular update..

Maybe the VRAM bug Asobo is trying to sort out in the SU2 Beta will help but there is something in MSFS 2024 that is definitely creating some issues.

Very well could be the VRam issue, I'm not using process lasso. At this point there's really nothing I can do but just reinstall 24 and see what happens.

Okay reinstalled 24 and I'm still getting the distortion sounds with nothing in the community folder and the default 172.

Then I went from 16gb to 50gh for the rolling cache relaunched FS24 and tried the 377 from Carenaro and this time did not get any sound distortion or stutters. Will keep testing and see what happens.

Now another aspect to consider...I have a 600mbps connection, but I have a daughter that streams her games, and my wife also watches Netflix, now add my flight sim which is using alot of  data for flights.....could that play a part too?

I sincerely doubt it, I have a 100mbps with wife watching netflix, me watching streaming TV in other monitor while flying with no issues.

Check and see if you have Fauna enabled within the settings, if so, disable it and check.

did you try removing SB card?

Just wondering as I've always liked SB but they were prone to have driver issues, got a couple of them just laying around because of the popping sound issues I've experienced in the past (years back), since then, I've settled to just use the integrated audio that comes with the mobo as the sound quality has improved dramatically since the days of the Audigy SB was the way to go.

I guess if I'm getting the stutters and the distortion once again on the next test run, I'll open my computer and remove the card completely and just use my onboard. I know when I plugged in my headset to the onboard and not the sound blaster card I will still getting the issue. I also have disabled everything else related to audio and just use the onboard. Also uninstalled the Nvidia sound driver, which I never use.

Try this before you remove the SB, if you haven't done so already, go into BIOS and disable onboard HD Audio and check.

Ok disabled the onboard sounds via the BIOS. Loaded the 377 at Nampa airport in ID head no sound pops of disortions. Then I closed the sim and reloaded the sim, when MSFS2024 does its zooming in when loading the plane at the airport in Nampa ID, I did hear this time some popping and distortion sounds. During the short flight from Nampa to Hailey ID there were some sound popping and distortion happening, but not as bad as the Fenix in San Diego departure or even through the LA area.
