Incredibly, I've experienced the exact same issue as last week, without having changed anything. I've spent dozens of hours in MSFS2024 in the past few months, including many long hauls over 10 hours with the A350 by iniBuilds in real time, and never had this problem—until a flight on Tuesday, when it first appeared.

The issue only showed up once airborne and, strangely, not on the ground—even in very heavy scenarios (EGLL Ini + Fenix + PSXT)... all running on a 7800X3D and 4070Ti setup.
I just was unable to figure out what was causing it.

But I hope to have solved it...I just canceled the file RollingCache.ccc in the Main FS2024 folder and I erased the content of the Cache folder. I'm not sure to have completely solved but it seems, from a first attempt, this procedure was successful. I'm now away and Sunday evening I will do other tests.

  • Yeah I've been flying with 2020 for the time being until there is a fix for 24. I can't fly with how it's performing at the moment unfortunately.

Your rigjht, on the ground its just fine, once I get airborne the sound issues begin. Now I use Auto FPS app and on the ground I have it set to 50 then it starts to adjust the TOD to a max of 200, dont know if that is playing a part...but I also tried a flight without the app and just set the TOD at 100 and the issue is still there.  Ver very frustrating

The strange thing in my case was that the problem came out suddenly after months and hundreds of flight without any performance problem. I also supposed an hardware "failure". Hope the cache elimination solved completing the problem and the we can find the cause.

Ps: Try TLOD 50 for the entire flight instead of 100.

Did you even try lowering the Glass cockpit refresh setting as I suggested?

If you watch your own video every time you have sound issues your CPU is getting hammered and your CoherentGT thread has huge spikes and could very likely be the cause of everything. Sound issues are often manifested by a struggling CPU.

Lowering settings is just a bandaid and there have been major issues documented with Coherent in 2024. Coherent has a MASSIVE performance impact on FS24

Hope it helps.

Yes, I did lowered the glass refresh rate from high to medium. Still experienced the same issue. Will try to do a departure keeping the TLOD at 50 the whole time and see what happens. I never have my TLOD over 200 and it's set to 50 on the ground using Auto FPS.

Okay wanted to test out non multicore 2020 and see if I get the same thing happening there. Lord of the Fenix with the new scenery from Flightbeam Portland, Departed out of the airport not one single hiccup, not one single sounds stutter, and Auto FPS automatically adjusted the TLOD from 50 to 250 perfectly fine not one hiccup. So obviously this whole TLOD thing with 2024 needs to be optimized.

Problem still present here unfortunately (MSFS2024 SU1). Very frustrating. Incredibly smooth on ground and almost unplayable after takeoff. From one day to the next other.
