March 21, 20251 yr Hi all, I'llpost a video of a flight with the Fenix A319 leaving KSAN. Horrble performace, mostly smooth but then sound cracking then stutters. I placed the MSFS frame counter info so you can see what is happening, plus my specs are listed bellow. I the video it also shows the graphics settings and I have a fast internet connection at 500+mbps. I have my frames locked at 48 via Riva Tuner. Have the latest Nvidia drivers and also have the latest DLSS files including the Frame Gen file running "K". I never have this issue with FS2020. Do I just need to do a clean install on my Nvidia drivers? Also have my rolling cache set to 16gb. Please watch the whole video since I pan and you can see it spike, the recording does not really catch the audio cracking and distrortion. I know there are alot of experts out there that can spot an issue for I dont have any more hair to pull from my head on this issue. Thank you in advance! specs: Asus Tuf Gaming B550 Plus Asus Ryzen 7 5800X3D Asus Geforce 4080 RTX OC Edition 64GB DDR4 Ram 3600Mhz Creative Sound Blaster Audigy Fx V2 EVGA 850W Power Supply 1 TB NVME PCIE gen 4 Gigabyte M27Q Pro Monitor 240Hz Windows 11 Edited March 21, 20251 yr by Bill A Asus Tuf Gaming Plus B550 - Ryzen 7 5800X3D - Asus GeForce 4080 RTX OC Edition - 64GB DDR4 (3600Mhz) - EVGA 850W Power Supply - 2X 1 TB NVME PCIE gen 4 - Windows 11 (25H2)
March 21, 20251 yr Hi Bill. Try dropping your Glass Cockpit Refresh setting down to medium from high (and only this setting) and test again. Hope it helps you. Regards, Kendall 7800X3D/G.B. Aorus 650 Elite V2.0/32GB GSkill Trident 6000-CL30/Nvidia 1080 Ti./Seasonic Focus 1200W PSU.

March 21, 20251 yr I had a similar issue with the Fenix nasty audio pops and sometimes ctd. I am running a 7900X3D and 4080. After doing some research it maybe be the rolling cache gets full and that causes the stutters and pops. I now have mine at 128GB and I delete it every two weeks so it's never full up and so far the pops and stutters have disappeared..There is a very big thread ongoing at the Microsoft Flight Forums. Unfortunately they are still working through teething troubles of downloading all the content it was better when it was on the hard drive streaming has it's own new problems. There was also a new Windows Update 24H2 that also was causing audio issues in MSFS but I think that might be rectified... Is it just the Fenix you have audio pops very annoying or other planes as well. Also try the Fenix in an area without Photogrammetry somewhere like Juneau and see if it still pops I found it was in cities with large areas of Photogrammetry that's when it was really bad which again points to the rolling cache. Hope this helps. H.
March 21, 20251 yr Audio issues can be caused by the Nvidia audio driver, I never install it now AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 4.2 32 gig ram, Nvidia RTX3060 12 gig, Intel 760 SSD M2 NVMe 512 gig, M2NVMe 1Tbt (OS) M2NVMe 2Tbt (MSFS) Crucial MX500 SSD (Backup OS). March 21, 20251 yr Author The Nvidia drivers are never installed on my machine. Plus I also made sure the sound blaster and the inbuilt audio drivers are all up to date. Did you find a way to get rid of the cache without the need of going back into the settings and change it again from 16GB (default) to 128GB afterwards, along with several minutes of waiting time? @Bill A Try once if you see any improvement by completely turning off "Fauna" in your settings. Also it somehow rings a bell that X3D processors have this annoying stutter issue accompanied by audio cracking, but somehow I wasnt able to find any specific thread about it, so it might be a misjudgment by myself. March 21, 20251 yr Author Will try the Fauna setting. With 2020 I've never had any issues with sounds cracking and distortion. I'm also on win11 24H2 which I know many have reported sound issues and performance hits. Now will also try different planes since the 2024 I've been sticking with the Fenix. March 23, 20251 yr Author Will try a different aircraft Reinstalled audio driver Installed the latest firmware update to my mobo Placed the Fenix glass cockpit refresh to medium Deleted my rolling cache and then created a new rolling cache at 128GB Issue still there I unfortunately Will thy without photogrammetry Asus Tuf Gaming Plus B550 - Ryzen 7 5800X3D - Asus GeForce 4080 RTX OC Edition - 64GB DDR4 (3600Mhz) - EVGA 850W Power Supply - 2X 1 TB NVME PCIE gen 4 - Windows 11 (25H2)
March 24, 20251 yr Author Tried it with the FBW A320, yes the issue was still there Here is an audio sample of what is happening when I get the stutters and sound distortions. The Video about does not really capture the sound issue. Let me know if this is the sounds issue others are experiencing too https://drive.google.com/file/d/196kmI9Rrm8qoopNxIpK7hL7W7AEbyfuw/view?usp=sharing UPDATE: Reintsalled a clean driver update with Nvidia 572.83 using Display Driver Uninstaller. All is good like alwsy on the airport and takeoff, but once I start climing like in San Diego, and head north over the water I start getting some sound distortion and a stutter..frames then lock at 40 again...but when Im climbing over 25K in the LA area man, the distriotion is back and my frames go to 10, 12ish even 5 sometimes, I tured off BATC and the issue was still there, turned off photogaerty and issue was till there. TLOD was set to 100 issue was still there, the sim is totally unflyable. Dont know if what I need to do next is a MSFS2024 resinstall. Seems like nobody else is having these kind of issues. Again MSF2020 runs great! March 24, 20251 yr hi bill, i have the exact same issue but in msfs2020 that only began recently for me maybe in the last month or so. updated nvidia drivers . nvi etc. makes no difference. also happening in different aircraft. i have emptied community folder as well. still no joy huge cpu spiking in task manager every few seconds, which i believe is causing the audio spikes. i have also tried stopping some apps and services even fsuipc, but to little or no effect. it has now got to the stage where the sim has for me become unplayable at the moment, and there does not seem to be any definitive answers to this serios issue. regards, graeme crawford
March 24, 20251 yr I suggest you take it out the Creative SB card and try with default Realtek audio. March 24, 20251 yr I would try to as they say just use the realtek sound driver. also turning off the Photogrammetry does not seem to work it's still there. I would find a completely quiet place in the world without any major cities and Def no Photogrammetry I use Juneau in Alaska and see if you get the audio pops or not as I say for me I found it was tied to the Photogrammetry and the full up Cache Did you delete your cache before changing it to 128GB as that would be a good thing it always resets to 16GB but you can then change it to 128.. Very annoying bug that's for sure H

I have deleted cache and gone back to 16GB, trued 100GB, and 128 GB with same results. Will try an area with no Photogrammetry.
