Can't post or reply from Chrome

Featured Replies

So having a weird issue where I can post from Microsoft Edge but my usual browser suddenly can't post, reply or compose a message.  The body field is missing.  It has the Title field and Upload Attachments field but no body to type the content of the message.  Nothing changed on my side, in fact it's the same browser window I have been using the whole time.

Same, although Edge is my primary browser and is giving me the issue. Possibly cookie related... I cleared AVSIM cookies but not everything, but in an incognito window it works so maybe try that with Chrome to see if its the same for you.

I also had that problem yesterday and the fix was to clear my computer's cache!  It worked fine after that!

Just going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱

Same here with Edge.  I downloaded Firefox and that works fine.

Which particular cache @charliearon ?

As I say above, I've got over it by switching to Firefox but it would be useful to be able to use Edge again.

Well, on my Chromebook, I need to go into my settings, Performance,  choose Privacy, and scroll to where I can delete browsing data and cookies.  Just below it says to delete cache and has a description of how much cache is now being used.

I had the same issue with Firefox for two days. I even re-installed Firefox, but I still could not post.

The issue was resolved yesterday by AVSIM.

I had no idea of how much I could miss AVSIM, until I could not post. 😀

Mine is the total opposite, I can post from Chrome but I cannot post from Edge all of a sudden !!!!

Edit: never mind, I cleared the Edge cache and it's back working again, it was driving me nuts..lol

Yeah, I found out when my Chromebook couldn't post, I tried my phone and it worked!  I then got
an email from our tech saying "Clear your computer's cache!"

Go to your browser settings on the right. then settings down near the bottom this will open a window. then open privacy search and services. Then 'Clear browsing data now', do not check the password box.

Delete cookies and cache. Logged in again and still cannot post using latest Vivaldi (Chrome based).
No problems in Firefox.

Alex

To clear cached images and files in Vivaldi, go to the Vivaldi menu, select "Tools," then "Delete Browsing Data," choose "Cached images and files," select a time range (e.g., "All Time"), and click "Clear Browsing Data".

Thank you, Charlie. That helped. Clearing cookies for the site was not enough.
