Has anyone tried the new Lossless?

It seems more complicated but seems to work OK. I have just one puzzle:  whereas the indicator used to say 20/60,

that was, 20 fps set in RTSS and 60 output by lossless, it now says 60/180 for the same RTSS settings!

Could that be correct?

If you're using 3x frame generation, yes. Did you change (or remove) your FPS lock in either the sim, NCP or RTSS?

Main rig: self built, AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D (with SMT off and CO -50 mV), 2x16 GB DDR4-3200 RAM, Nvidia RTX3060 Ti 8GB, 256 GB M.2 SSD (OS+apps) + 2x1 TB SATA III SSD (sims) + 1 TB 7200 rpm HDD (storage), ID-Cooling SE-224-XTS air cooler, Viewsonic VX2458-MHD 1920x1080@120 Hz (G-sync compatible, but disabled), Windows 11 (at last!). Running P3D v5.4 (with v4.5 scenery objects as an additional library, just in case), FSX-SE, MSFS2020 and even FS9. On the fence for MSFS2024.

Mobile rig: ASUS Zenbook UM425QA (AMD Ryzen 7 5800H APU @3.2 GHz and boost disabled, 1 TB M.2 SSD, 16 GB RAM, Windows 11 Pro). Running FS9 there for airliner ops. FSX-SE also installed, just in case. Lossless Scaling in al my rigs. What a godsend...

No, that's the puzzle, I left the settings in RTSS as they were.

I'm loving this new version, in Adaptive mode you can literally type in a target frame rate and LS will hit that rate (assuming you've spare resources). P3D is so much more enjoyable to fly @ 60 or 120 fps especially when it is vsync'd as flying is so smooth ✈️🛩️👌

I'm using RTSS to manage the base frame rate where I can (on the fly) raise or lower the RTSS base rate (usually between 20 and 30 fps) and LS will maintain my Target rate which I typically set at either 60 for a vsync to my 60Hz monitors or go for 120 fps depending on the scenery area, and with a base rate of ~30 fps frame generation artifacts are quite minimal.

Con's - yes there are a few,

1), apparently there was a legacy "Window" mode that's no longer available, been many complaints from those who were using it, maybe it will come back?

2), if you've any sort of other 3rd party overlay running LS won't work, you'll need to disable any 3rd party overlay e.g. steam, discord, NVidia etc.

3), If you're not running the latest version of Windows 11 the WGC option will actually be DXGI, as the Adaptive mode is incompatible with WGC due to Microsoft related GFX issues. If you're running the latest Win11 then WGC is actually WGC as MS fixed their issues.

For myself item #3 was an issue as I'm running Windows 10 where it's an issue due to being unable to screen record via my fav screen recording software (Action!) due to WGC mode being required.

I raised the issue on the LS forum and LS's author suggested a work around using OBS which is working OK so I can still screen record although it's a little fiddly to setup.

For the record LS is functioning fine for myself where my P3D versions are 4.5 and 5.3, RTSS version is 7.3.6 and LS version is 3.1.0.2

Cheers

Are you referring to the Lossless Scaling app, purchased through the Steam platform?.
