April 11, 20251 yr TL;DR If you have a 4090 or 5090 this under $2000 headset is your best VR headset at any price and costs less than other premium headsets which can approach $5,000. But if you have a lesser GPU, then it is probably not a good purchase because the resolution is far higher than say a crystal light. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.
April 12, 20251 yr I'll stick with my Crystal light. If I ever manage to get my hands on a 5090 FE that will be it for me. I'll be leaving it all to someone in my will! 🤣 Intel Core i9-10900K at 5.2GHz, Corsair H115i PRO, ASUS MAXIMUS XII HERO Z490, G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 15-16-16-36, ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3090, SAMSUNG 970 EVO PLUS M.2 2280 1TB x 3, Corsair HX Series HX1000 Watt PSU, Pimax Crystal LIght.

AMD 7800X3D, Windows 11, Gigabyte X670 AORUS Elite AX Motherboard, 64GB DDR5 G.SKILL Trident Z5 NEO RGB (AMD Expo), RTX 4090, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 2 TB PCIe 4.0, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 1 TB PCIe 4.0, 4K resolution 50" TV @60Hz, VR: Pimax Crystal Light + HP Reverb G2 @ 90 Hz, Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant, be quiet 1000W PSU, Noctua NH-U12S chromax.black air cooler. 60-130 fps. no CPU overclocking. very nice.
April 12, 20251 yr If I had a 4090 I would stick with it and I do very well with 3090. I got it set up very 90 to get a constant 45fps with 90hz (lab) but I do have the full res down scaled to 70%. SO I'll jump on the 5090 FE when I can. Its the only 5090 that will fit in my case. And of course its the cheapest. What king of joke is that!🤣 Intel Core i9-10900K at 5.2GHz, Corsair H115i PRO, ASUS MAXIMUS XII HERO Z490, G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 15-16-16-36, ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3090, SAMSUNG 970 EVO PLUS M.2 2280 1TB x 3, Corsair HX Series HX1000 Watt PSU, Pimax Crystal LIght.

Yes, from my first flight with 1.4.12, I thought fps increased in VR over 1.4.11. April 12, 20251 yr I just don't trust Pimax lenses. The Crystal Light I had suffered from terrible CA and reports of the CA in the Super is making me give this a wide berth. Ryzen 9800X3D, RTX 5090, 64GB, Win 11. MSFS2020. Moza, MFG, Fulcrum & Virpil controllers. Quest 3 for VR.

I have the Crystal OG and got lucky with flawless lenses. It truly seems to be luck of the draw. Visuals for me are good enough with Crystal OG so the next headset I consider will have to be much smaller form factor similar to a Bigscreen Beyond 2. But it will need to include eye tracking and inside out tracking with a minimum of a Crystal FOV and picture quality. Hopefully in a few years the tech will be available to pull that off.
