iFly Max ready to fly mode

Featured Replies

Hello,

Just out of curiosity, can the 737 Max be started in ready to fly mode?

Thanks

I never do, and I think there may be a problem with saved panel states, but I can't remember. From cold and dark it is pretty easy to set up a flight, once you do it a couple of times.

I never understood why they havent made the  - C&D -GPU /TAXI/Ready for takeoff profile (panelstate) when there is allready options to save your own states within

I tried those options when I first got the iFly, and they didn't work correctly.

Of course you can, but it's not available as a default state. You should have to create it and use the EFB menu. I call it "Turnaround State" in my case, ready to program the FMC and complete the cockpit preparation before pushback and engine start. But you can create any situation as you wish.

That is what I did, didn't work, posted on their discord, and they said that was in the pipe line to fix.

PS  Just tried it, still not working.

It's very easy to build a panel/plane state as you want.

I did turnaround state as well but include some ground equipment too.

There are two tricks which work for me well.

1. I have to turn on battery FIRST then load a panel state.

2. In EFB choose panel state you need and click load TWICE.

Works for me

So is it not possible to start on the runway, engines running with the FMC ready to programme?

Or does that need a panel state created first?

Well, hope they'll fix it for you. It's always working for me, in turnaround state, so I don't have to start from cold & dark all the time, which is a PITA.

And yes, as mentioned before by @Vitold69, I always load the state with BATT on and with GRD PWR connected. My turnaround state includes several carts (Ground Power, Pneumatics), left AFT airstairs connected and its door open, left forward door open ready to connect to the jetway or to deploy the airstairs, and forward and rear cargo doors open. I can share my state file if that could help anybody (I don't know if it would work that way, but we can try...).

Look on their Discord on the "Known Issues thread" They advise against using it.

Saved states have some bugs right now.  But this is mostly applicable to starting at the gate.  If you start on a runway, then yes, it starts with the engines running ready to go.

This video could be useful to those who want to try setting up a panel state. Check if that works for you:

Yes, you're right. They say is a MSFS bug. and are investigating.

The strage thing is that my "Turnaround" state is working well for me, with no issues I can assure. Maybe the iFly people are reffering to panel states in general, and probably not some particular ones.

From what I can recall, If you select a starting location as active runway then it loads with engines running as well as flaps set to 5 by default. You still would have to configure fuel and weights as well as FMC set-up. Loading at gate loads in a cold and dark state by default. You could potentially try to create a panel state at a gate then save it to use for future flights (You can save it via FMC or EFB I think), it does not take long and it is much easier to do it yourself and set the aircraft how you want it every time you fly next. I don't think iFLY has created any panel states by default.

It's interesting I can save almost everything except fuel quantity. It's always 10.3 tons in tanks. I tried different ways but failed. The plane takes fuel quantity from Sim menu I think. Is there a way to change permanently amount of fuel in the Sim menu?
