This is the wrong forum for website issues, but I have noticed Avsim being rather intermittent for a while now. It goes through very slow phases, like earlier today, and then recovers to normal access speed again. Seems to be not obviously related to site usage. 

Its ad city here. Despite people paying to be members. 

Seems like management got greedy and have decided to not pay out dividends (better service) and have chosen instead to keep the cash for themselves.

Uhm.....Not that many people donating.  Just looking at the folks moaning  here!

Not really aimed in your direction...sorry!  Mainly the folks saying that their "Free Site" isn't working the way
they think it should and have never donated to help out!

How did you get by in the past all those years of not displaying ads all over the screen? 

I have not donated to Avsim for some time due PayPal wanting my details and to open an account. I ditched PayPal after being defrauded which they refused to reimburse when I had bank evidence to back it up. Avsim need to go to Apple pay more secure.

I just choose the credit card option!

Click the DONATE button above.  You'll be taken to the donation portal.  If you would like to donate, select the amount you wish to donate to the right and follow the prompts.  You will be taken to a PayPal payment gateway.  If you do not wish to donate via PayPal, you can use your credit card.

Every now and then a comment makes me wind my watch and take a breath to avoid throwing out a fusillade of "F" words.

If you can't tolerate the ads that pay the bulk of our bills, then feel free to leave.  If you feel inclined to post another comment like this, I'll be happy to make that happen for you.

Nobody at AVSIM is collecting a dime--our service is provided free of charge to the community.  Donations are voluntary (and appreciated) and access to the site is not, and has never been, conditioned by donation status.  

We are funded by donations and by advertising revenue.  Every cent we collect is used to fund AVSIM's operating costs, which are pretty considerable.  All of our staffing is done by unpaid volunteers.
