The entire controller setup, while powerful and flexible, seems to have been setup by a brain that organizes information very differently than do I. Someone who is either genius, or 'on the spectrum'? The saving grace though is that once you've figured it out you won't be visiting it often. Mankind invented listboxes for a very good reason.
