I think the odds are as close to NIL as possible that majestic will partner with somebody else.  But if they did...  I think somebody like Just Flight would be a better match and perhaps Boris on the sounds.

The sounds were realistic anyway.

I can't think of a worse idea

Disagree! Partnership isn’t a bad idea at all especially when one developer focuses on delivering the core systems while the other handles high-quality models and textures.

In the case of a port, I don’t expect the visuals (models and textures) to immediately match the higher standards set in MSFS.

PMDG, despite being excellent in system depth, has received criticism from many users regarding the quality of their visual models and textures.

If that’s the approach majestic prefers, then by all means, they can continue developing the port on their own and spend a few more years delivering something that likely won’t meet today’s visual standards.

Hey everyone,

What do you think about the idea of majestic Software collaborating with iniBuilds to bring the flight sim community a Q400 that combines the best of both worlds  majestic’s top-tier systems and iniBuilds’ outstanding models and textures?

From what I understand, majestic might be planning more of a direct port from P3d model to MSFS rather than a full rework. A collaboration like this could result in a highly detailed, visually stunning, and systems-rich aircraft that really elevates the Q400 experience in MSFS.

Hope people at inibuilds and majestic consider it.

Regards

You are most certainly welcomed to your opinion(s) as it "can" lead to constructive debate which is good as it lends to ideas based on what the community would like to see/have.  You may not like MJC's approach in how the development of the Q400 is being conducted, but that is the way the business model shall remain unless there is a need for something else to be done.

Cheers

Thank you for your response, I appreciate the openness to differing opinions and the value placed on constructive debate. While I may have a different perspective on the development approach for the Q400, I understand that every team has its own methodology and business model shaped by internal priorities and broader goals.

That said, continued community feedback both supportive and critical can be an important asset in identifying areas of opportunity or improvement.

Looking forward to seeing  progress on Q400.

IIRC, Majestic has said the graphics are actually the hold up at this point (?).

Might not be a bad idea to partner up with a shop who's expertise complements their coding expertise.

As to whether iB is the right choice for that...?
