Heart attack apparently whilst airborne so unable to control his paraglider before it crashed.

I must have watched his jump from the edge of space at least a dozen times.  If you haven't seen it, you should watch it.  RIP Felix.

I remember watching on our big  screens in Iocc the weekend he did that , we all crowded around watching it .  Good times

Totally agree with watching "Free Solo."  I usually don't watch anything with extreme heights, but I forced myself to watch this.  The documentary definitely had the "pucker factor" if you know what I mean.  Alex Honnold did the first free solo climb of El Capitan in record time, ~ 3,000 ft in 3 hours and 56 minutes.  There was one part of the climb where the camera men set the camera to record him and had to look away.

i believe no-one else has done if after too.  

I also remember shouting at the TV when watching free solo for the sheer fact not because of the danger of the climb, but for the fact he had one of the cutiest, nicest girlfriends a man could meet, and yet he was willing to risk that to fall off a cliff !!
