I worked with a lady from Finland who said they chopped holes in the ice to go swimming.  She described it as, "a half meter of ice over a half meter of air over the water."  Um, call me a wimp, but no thanks. 🙂 

Our prayers go out to everyone who ends up involved in the tsunamis. I  woke up and saw the above video less than 40 minutes after it was originally posted.  Ouch.
