FS Traffic doesnt work any more after SU3

Featured Replies

I have being using FSTraffic, either at 2020 or 2024, but after SU3, it doesnt work any more. I guess it is due to the new SU3 traffic settings which doesnt allow to disable completely parked traffic and aircraft traffic, which FSTraffic requires to be off.- Does it happens to anybody else ?

It seems intermittent but worked for me on at least two occasions after SU3.

I had to turn all the new settings to off on traffic etc.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Parked aircraft and aircraft traffic cannot be turned off, just low, medium, high. Only online traffic can be turned off.

Not true. You are looking at the wrong option. There is a quality and a quantity option for each. Just be sure that you are not in flight when you change them, because then they will revert to what they were set to and not stick.

I figured this out.  In the instruction manual, it tells you to disable something in the options.  Well, that changed drastically for SU3.

You have to turn off AI traffic and parked aircraft under:

Settings > General > Graphics > Global Rendering Quality (Advanced Settings)

Aircraft traffic quantity -> off

Parked aircraft quantity -> off

That fixed it for me.

FSTraffic Users:  is it better than FSLTL overall, performance-wise especially?  Does its traffic activate jetways when parked as FSLTL does?

Thanks!

Yes there are, but the only one which can be set to off is aircraft traffic quantity.-

On my system and in FS24, performance is way better.

Yes, it seems to.

I had significant performance issues with FSLTL in FS24, so I spent the money on a discounted FST license. It does the job so far as I'm concerned.

And what you think that does? What does "quantity" mean?

It doesnt matter what I think, the simulator seems to be not so smart as you, as it continues injecting default aircrafts at gates, now I have a mix of FSTraffic aircraft and others in Boeing and Airbus House liveries . And by the way, there is not a "quality" option for parked and traffic aircraft, as you said,  the option is "variety" for both, and they have not an off setting option, which is confusing as I cannot see how they interacts with aircraft quantity set at off.-

Set "Parked Aircraft Traffic Quantity" to "Off" and "Air Traffic Quantity" to "Ultra" and make sure you have the online Air Traffic under the Online Tab switched off.
