For most people it is perfectly normal to have higher CPU times than GPU, it simply means that the CPU is the one "holding things back" because it is chugging as fast as it can, while the GPU could actually do more work, but has to wait for the CPU to finish the "frame" (pictures) before it can start working on the next one. I am sure by now everyone remotely interested in flightsimulation must be aware of the CPU/GPU ratio problems, so I am not going to write about it for the 1000th time.
September 7, 2025Sep 7 silly question...before I update to the 12.3.0 beta. Will the toliss 320 neo and 330-900 neo work ok (im guessing they will but without weather radar) as I dont believe they have been patched yet. If theres issues im going to hold off getting 12.3.0 as I only use the 320 neo and 330 neo in xp12. thanks Edited September 7, 2025Sep 7 by fluffyflops
September 7, 2025Sep 7 True @Litjan, but I have the sensation that it was a more even distribution before. Anyway what matters is that the end result is positive regarding smoothness, and I can't complain. I limit my FPS to 30 and so far, even with Traffic Global and SimHeaven Europe, and even some dense weather, it's really smooth in the Toliss 32N and a couple of helis. I use 3 flight models per frame by default too, and even pushing it to 5 doesn't affect performance. Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
September 7, 2025Sep 7 Im sure while Laminar play around with the way things run on CPu etc that we will see funny issues, Better to address the little issues before they give us a disaster. Good thing they are preparing for it instead of just dumping it on us.
