September 6, 2025Sep 6 I have to sceneries that have default buildings in them. Is there a tutorial somewhere on how to remove them? I would like to learn how to do it so I don't have to keep asking for help. One scenery is a P3D v4 freeware scenery for Chesapeake Regional Airport (found here in the avsim library) and the other is a payware scenery for Jauja Peru (SPJJ) made by Andes Simulations. The title at Simmarket said it was for P3Dv3 to P3Dv5, but the requirements only said P3Dv3. I took a chance and bought the scenery.

September 6, 2025Sep 6 First, you load the airport .bgl file into Airport Design Editor. Next, use the "Load Stock Data" process in the Tools menu to load all the stock scenery objects. These will appear on the airport display. Last, you can select each unwanted object on the display and delete it, or open a list of all scenery objects, select all the ones designated as "True" under the "Is Stock" column, and delete them. Keep in mind that any custom scenery objects won't be recognized by ADE and will appear as black boxes on the display. If you then try to compile the new airport file, these objects cannot be compiled so will not appear in the scenery. I mentioned to him that the using google earth, I noticed that the parking lot on the other side of the main terminal is missing along with three flag poles. The author said it would be okay for me to add them and the parking lot detail but I have no experience with Sketchup. Edited September 18, 2025Sep 18 by B38058
