September 10, 2025Sep 10 I only have one scenery for Chile (LatinVFR Santiago). I want to get more scenery from Chile so I can fly within the country. Does anyone have FlightSimDesign Chile scenery? How are they? They don't have many screenshots of the scenery (only 4 for each airport) so it's hard the judge the quality. Any recommendations from other South American sceneries? I have a lot of scenery from Columbia and some from Brazil, but not much from other South American countries.
September 10, 2025Sep 10 Can’t answer your original question, but SEQM from flightbeam/ dreamflight is excellent. Paulo Ricardo’s Brazil sceneries are excellent as well, particularly SBRJ and SBKP. Orman
September 10, 2025Sep 10 Author Forgot to mention I use P3D v5.4 13 minutes ago, okupton said: Can’t answer your original question, but SEQM from flightbeam/ dreamflight is excellent. I don't have his SBKP scenery beacuse I don't know if it will work in v5.4.

September 10, 2025Sep 10 Author Thanks for the info about the SBKP scenery. I will get that one next time I buy scenery..

Hi Joseph, Exactly, I have the exact same doubt regarding this FlightSimDesign Chile scenery, I've seen someone on some Forum complaining about a big loss of fps in this scenery, but since we don't have any reports there's no way of knowing. September 12, 2025Sep 12 Hey Joseph. I also only have the LatinVFR Santiago, so can't comment on the FlightSimDesign Chile sceneries sorry. I have however installed a bunch of freeware airports for Chile, Brazil, Bolivia, Argentina and Venezuela. Some are FSX releases that work fine in P3D (usually after disabling the default P3D bgl's) and others will work directly in P3D. Check out the following, some amazing free, and freemium titles https://3dmodelbrasil.wordpress.com/ https://www.flightsimulatorarg.com.ar/ https://rzanollicenarios.blogspot.com/ https://camilomirandafsx.blogspot.com/ https://fsoarescenarios.blogspot.com/ and search for "SIMARG, Simulacion Argentina" as there are a couple of decent airports released by them, e.g. El Calafate (SAWC), Resistencia (SARE) and Moron (SADM) Oh and I would also second the suggestion above to grab the Chile photoreal from FC Scenery, it really does transform the P3D experience for regions like South America. I have Chile, Argentina, Peru, Brazil and Colombia from them and all are amazing. see: https://www.fcscenerys.com/ Edited September 12, 2025Sep 12 by deeknow Dean Stringer
September 15, 2025Sep 15 Author Well, I went ahead and purchased a FlightSimDesign Chile scenery (I bought SCIE and SADP). Overall, I would say if you're not going to fly in Chile then you can skip this scenery. In terms of quality I would say FlightSimDesign Chile scenery is a bit below MFSG scenery. SCIE - I don't like the ground markings; they are not the right colors and look to cartoony. Building textures could be a higher quality and the jetways are static. SADP - I bought this because I have a lot of military AI and hardly any military base scenery. I don't like that the apron and taxiway lines, and parking lines are all default. Night lighting isn't that good either, but I don't fly much at night.
September 15, 2025Sep 15 Good to know!! I've been using a freeware SCIE from 3dmodelbrasil (see the links in my earlier post) Have you seen that La Florida Airport (SCSE) offering from Golden Retriever Pilot Design? Modelling looks pretty good and texturing not bad for what looks like was originally an FSX release, price is fair too. Smaller airport so no gates but does have real world weekly A320 flights with Sky, JetSmart and LATAM to Santiago/SCEL, Iquique/SCDA, Concepcion/SCIE etc.. September 15, 2025Sep 15 Author I saw both sceneries from Golden Retriever Pilot Design. They both look good, but they are for P3D v4. I don't really want to buy them because I use P3D v5.4 and if they don't work in P3D v5.4 I would not know how to get them to work. How do you download some of the scenery in your links? Like for these two Camilo Miranda Cenários 3D MODEL BRASIL.COM – FSX /Prepar3D(P3D)/ XPlane Scenery and 3D Objects" Home of SAA South American Airports Project" Cenários e objetos 3D para Simuladores de Voo I have been clicking around but haven't see a download link anywhere on those sites.
September 15, 2025Sep 15 I'd say they would work fine but yes you may need to disable any default bgls in P3D v5 which is pretty easy to do. I'll buy one and try it. Re Camilo's stuff you email him any you are interested in, and I think it's a $5/scenery donation kinda thing, I have 4 of his and they work great in v5. Do the Google-translate thing on his page and you'll find an email link there somewhere. Re the 3dmodelbrasil stuff, they have a few broken links to their old site from the main pages, looks like they moved their blog site to wordpress, the old links do work, to get to a given download just swap the host/site name in the URL with their new one, e.g. to get to the Chile page, copy the link, e.g. ... https://3dmodelbrasil.com/2018/09/13/chile/ and change it to the following and past that into your address bar.. https://3dmodelbrasil.wordpress.com/2018/09/13/chile/ Dean Stringer
