Hi guys,

 

Where can I find the manuals for Carenado aircraft, I have looked in all the usual places.

 

Specifically, how to complete the walkarounds (or not if I want to just jump in and fly) to remove chocks, covers etc which prevent me from starting?

Shift-C for 2nd Q.

Manuals are in your Community folder in the sub folder of your Carenado plane. Just search for a .pdf file.

Thanks Pete, but no folders for my Carenado aircraft in my community folder, I got them from the marketplace.

Ah I see. Then it should be in your Official folder.

You can find them at Carenado's official website.

Shift+C doesn't complete the walkaround.  It just places you into the cockpit.

For the walkaround, you can either click on the chocks, pitot covers and engine inlet covers, or to skip these actions altogether, you need to go into Settings > Controls > Keyboard and assign a key to "QUICK PREFLIGHT".

After pressing your Quick Preflight key, you can then press Shift+C to enter the cockpit.

I do like to see them in place etc but I'm not one for completing a complete walkaround, I know lot's are for complete realism but that's but that's not me.

 

Taking it a step further am I able to assign that key to a button on a streamdeck or a GoFlight unit?

For the Go-Flight unit (or any other standard USB hardware) that's no problem.   You'd just go to Settings > Controls > [YOUR HARDWARE DEVICE] then again, search for "Quick Preflight" function and assign the key you'd like.

A streamdeck is a little more complex as I think you would need a AAO (Axis & Ohs) script that includes the Quick Preflight LVAR.    Not sure if one exists.
