I see Active Sky has a version for XPlane 12 but with the live weather that comes with this amazing sim do I need it? 
What do experienced XPlane pilots think? Unnecessary expense or experience enriching addon?

Default weather, just as default ATC, are very acceptable presently in Xp12.

    I just flew a flight into KRDU in the ZIBO 737 and I see now you are all right. Like nothing I’ve never seen. Just wonderful. It amazes me the thousands I spent on addons for FSX and P3D trying to but never quite able to achieve the realism portrayed in XPlane 12! I hope I live many more years to enjoy it. Best hobby investment I ever made.
