@jcommย The forward tilt of the rotor is controlled by the "vert cant" parameter in Plane Maker.

Yep I've used it in the past when I still played with Plane-Maker, and it did have a positive effect, namely in requiring more aft cyclic on takeoff.

  • I have been totally pulled in by XPlane 12. Not much to not like if youโ€™re one of those after more realistic simulation of airplane flying and Iโ€™m amazed at the default airports and even the realism o

If it needs more than the default value, something is wrong on some end, aircraft or engine. On moving decks, increasing FM per frame actually tends to make things worse.

I can't stand by that statement but even if I did, I'd be torn with the fact that 10 makes it usable. FM on my machine is generally less than 10% of the frame draw time. I'll take it.

No jumpiness on any surface regardless of the setting with my setup.ย Boat pads/decks have always been too slippery. 10 didn't stop the sliding there unfortunately.ย

I couldn't even handle the default R22 with a stick/pedals/VR. This thing is still quirky/seems unrealistic at times, but at least it's now manageable.ย

Friendly reminder: WHITELIST AVSIM INย YOUR AD-BLOCKER. Especially if you're on a modern CPU that can run a flight simulator well. These web servers aren't free...

What irks me most about that setting is that it's global, not per aircraft. Just because it's necessary for a single aircraft really should not mean that it also has to be forced on all the others.

At least it somewhat dampens out controller inputs from less precise devices like gamepads.
